I've no idea what the thoughts of Southampton fans are, but their priority will surely be automatic promotion, though it looks unlikely, but they'll have a bigger game at wembley to come in the play off's.

They are very much the form team in the Championship though.
Think they are expecting playoffs because with recent dropped point even a win against Ipswich next week means it’s still out of their hands.

All up for it today, 50th anniversary year since they last won.

Good to see Shea Charles is becoming a good player for them.

Stones is fit. Perhaps not match fit. According to Pep's pre-match press conference he has been in training for 3 weeks.

Yeah but not ready to play, even though on the bench. Don’t worry Rico travelled.

Silly post? You have a short memory.

Only clueless fans think Pep's selections in some games are *silly*. His selections may be experimental or imperfect or wrong or what have you. Silly they ain't, because he has his reasons to make them.

Bad results happen for all sorts of reasons. To reduce their causes to "silly selections" is silly, especially if you mean a manager whose understanding of the game is infinitely superior to yours.

We need to rotate for his game, just need to get the balance right, as Southampton will be bang up for this. The team we played against Newcastle had quite a few changes, but played really well. I expect a similar type of line up today. We should have the quality to beat them, with a rotated team, but can't be complacent and the players need to be on it from the start.

I largely agree but Pep made 10 changes at Newcastle. I think he won't rotate to that extent today. I expect 5-7 changes to Burnley.

Some on here underrate our squad players, who btw did better at Newcastle than Barcelona... Fresh squad players are not worse than somewhat tired (mentally or physically) regular starters. We'll be "full strength" only if Pep plays several really fresh players. Full strength on paper is not the same as full strength in reality.

A new City fan I assume.
