Blah blah blah. I'd call a hat trick, even a hypothetical one, a decent contribution. Still no chance Reijnders will be any good in his second season, it's never happened with a player at City
He is one of the very few players, phillips another that I believe if totally unsuitable. I really can't see him getting in the team next year unless we get down to zero. Even Savinho has a bit more than this fella. That said I hope he shuts me to fuck up.

We want rotation -check
Also this is shit line up - check
Pre match thread >matchday thread -check

Gives players a chance to show what they can do.
Rests our main lads and hopefully remain injury free.
Might be a little rusty but I’ve got confidence in the boys in blue.
As EB would say,
THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD
Quite poignant that Jonny boy is captain whilst Sheila is supporting him from the Kippax in the sky. What are the odds on JS being first goalscorer…..

There is absolutely no need to make that many changes!!!

How do you know?

The club monitor every aspect of players fitness and recovery, and make their team selection based on form and fitness. Perhaps given the length of the season and the number of games played, certain players perhaps haven't recovered sufficiently from the Burnley game to warrant a starting role today.

The thing is with Reijnders is that he’s very good on the ball but unless he can start using his body well and putting in duels he won’t make it in the Prem let alone at City as a midfielder. He’d have to change position or we’d have to change the formation for him.

I don’t know if Peps underestimated Southampton, they haven’t lost since January I think. They were decent against Arsenal
So were Bournemouth, Sporting, Mansfield and practically every team that they have played recently!
