47 | Phil Foden - 2025/26

He looks skinnier than when he first started playing, something is not right with his health and that’s what is causing this.

He hasn’t forgotten how to play football he just looks like he’s finished a 23hr shift on the mines and not eaten for a month. He’s lost the spark he had.

I genuinely don’t know why the club haven’t just told him to take the rest of the season off. He needs a reset. He needs to go away, eat some burgers, lift some weights and get some strength back. Phil, you’re my favourite player of all time, get help before your career evaporates in front of our eyes.

Was clear first half that Foden/Cherki/Reijnders were all on yop of each other. It’s an issue that Pep has a little stiffy for Reijnders given how bad he actually is. I thought Phil did ok second half but was rightly subbed. I still also think he has about £300000000 in the bank for us so stfu and back a player that has actually delivered instead of all pretending Sav and Reinders will come good

Weird.

He’s barely even played the last few weeks?

He will get a new deal. He is the poster boy for the academy and rightly so. He is absolute shite at the moment but I would be amazed if the club even considers letting him go.
By new deal what does it entail? Because he isn't even the player he was a few years ago so how do you give him the same terms?

If has got a serious health issue then the last thing he needs is pressure to perform on the pitch because that is not helping him.

I'm just not sure how you can really justify offering him a new deal on this form.

Summer off would do him good I reckon, but feel like Tuchel is going to take him anyway.
No way Tuchel takes him.

He can't, Foden has consistently not shown enough.

I also think Foden needs the time off to figure out what's going on.

He does look lighter than normal, physical internal issues?

Maybe there is also a mental block?

Regardless, he needs time off, maybe a therapist, to figure out what's going on.

Hopefully its not a physical issue that is impossible to overcome.

I'm in my 70's now, when Phil was coming through I thought great, I can watch this kid through the twilight of my life, so always loved and supported him, love City more I've given up after 2 years.

I think his time at city is coming to an end.. also think he has won so much the hungry and drive is not there anymore unfortunately.. think he needs a new challenge somewhere else
