I’ve not seen this anywhere else than from you? And Ive never known the west/east decision be taken that quickly before?
For what it’s worth, we had West the last time we played Chelsea in a final (Carabao 2019).

I’ve no idea regarding all the logistics behind how it’s decided but makes sense if it’s the same this year.

Chelsea is fine by me. Leaves the M1 a lot less busy.
Just for anyone looking at Hotels.

Watford has gone up a lot from yesterday (thought might come down this morning as Leeds fans cancel) so I have took the plunge and booked 2 family rooms for me and my lads at Travelodge Milton Keynes for £55 each.

We stayed there on Sat and it was great, trains late on from Watford too.

Lots of salty comments on social media this morning about how boring a City V Chelsea final will be, and that they’ll have nobody to cheer on. Ah well.
I think Cup Finals in general have become optional at best for the neutral. Think my last non-City final was West Ham v scousers in 2006(?), whereas in my youth (some years ago!) I tuned in at lunchtime to watch the build-up whoever was playing.

Would the masses have tuned in if it was Leeds v Soton?

Chelsea look to be in a better place after yesterday's result, and Rosenoirs departure, and I'm sure they will present a much stiffer challenge to us than the one we saw in our recent 3-0 win at their place ..... only our best will do !

So you don't watch the cup final if City aren't in it ?

Would’ve preferred Leeds, they froze in the semi so presumably they’d have found a final an overwhelming occasion.

That said, give it 3 weeks and Chelsea’s flouncing prima donna laden squad will no doubt have found something else to sulk about and they’ll hopefully be a disjointed mess of a team on cup final day
