President Trump

Again, the reactions to the alleged assassination attempt from the secret service tells you it’s just not legitimate.

The slow reactions when it initially kicks off, video of them walking the POTUS and vice president out the back when reality would have them literally sprinting, the motorcade driving slowly away when again, it would be hell for leather foot down. The fact the guy supposedly shot an agent yet didn’t get shot dead yet with no questions asked. The laughable way the orange **** has had to come out as anyone with half a brain raises those very points and says it’s down to him, it’s just fucking lies as he has no fucking say in their reactions to an imminent threat.

Absolute bullshit but convenient for the narrative he wants to push.

If this "Assassination" attempt was staged, and a stooge was bought to act as the fall guy, then Trump needs to be careful on the next one because sooner or later one of them will cock up and actually get a lucky shot !

We've both been to football matches and then read a report that made us think "did this guy watch the same game as I just did?"

I'm that way with your post. I watched the attack live on tv and saw the secret service rushing to the stage, Trump quickly pushed to the ground, Vance hurried out but on his feet. All in a few seconds.

Also the NY Times reporter who was in the press pool on Saturday night and therefore close to Trump all evening said that the cars taking him back to the White House went hell for leather, not "driving slowly away."

Could go on, but yeah on this one I think thee and me went to different matches.

How generous of Lievitt to make one last appearance to bemoan how awful things are said and then to berate and slate the Democrats for not doing what Trump wants.

That wasn't press, that was a campaign rant.

Leavitt now demanding we ignore our eyes and experience yet again and just accept their lies.

Trump saying the secret service asked him to go down he didn’t fall over, there is no end to his lying, you can clearly see him fall arse over tit. Next he will be saying he stopped the bullet with his teeth.
He did I saw him grasp the bullet with his gnashers ,they were in his hand and he trapped it using them like castanets, that's as true as anything he has fkn said

I see the king has arrived in the land of the free and the home of the whopper.
Not sure when he’s going to meet the whopper.

The fact that they picked the doddering old fucker back up to his feet tells you everything you need to know about this latest lie!

Oh FFS, Starmer needs to send the RAF/SAS to get the King back tonight.

The golf lot have named Royal Lytham St Anne's as the venue for 2028 Open.
Trump had demanded his course, Turnberry, was selected. When Satsuma Head wakes up and finds out there will be hell to pay.

Trump will have Charlie locked up by ICE until the venue is switched. Couldn't they have delayed naming Lytham until the King came home?

All three things are true.

But the idea that the Hilton hotel attack was staged strikes me as ludicrous. As another poster said the attacker will spend most of the rest of his life in prison and I don't see anyone going along with FBI/CIA plotters to incur that. Besides, if you look at the guy's written agenda he wanted to go after "the leadership" yet was anxious to spare Kash Patel because he "respected law enforcement", which to me marks him as the kind of eccentric (less kindly nutter) most likely to be a lone wolf.

That said, repressive regimes do of course have a long history of setting up agents provocateurs to commit acts of violence which they can then use to justify repression. Just been reading again about "The Blanketeers" protest march of 1817 when Manchester workers set out to march to London to demand parliamentary reform and the right to vote. Lord Liverpool's government had its spies among them though they got sussed out by their accents. Trump's team will have far more sophisticated devices to hand and they'll use them all before November. And it will have made Trump's day that the DC attacker donated money to Kamala Harris's election fund.
Your sense of ludicrousness is entirely reasoned, but still wrong imo, and ignores my primary point.

The only rational starting point is that he’s being dishonest, and work back from that.

Struggling to see how that’s remotely controversial.

You and I agree on at least two things:
(i) Manchester City are wonderful.
(ii) Trump is a **** (short for dishonest, narcissistic, racist etc.)

But believing he will try all kinds of dirty tricks to stay in power doesn't convince me to think this was one of them based on what I saw with my own eyes on Saturday night. Put it this way: just because the F.A., the red cartel, BBC Sports and the rag who lives down the street all want City to be found guilty of the 115 charges doesn't mean that VAR is guaranteed to find Haaland offside when he scores the winner in the Cup Final, does it?

(shouldn't have said that, should I?)
