Does John Stones Deserve a Statue - Poll

Took it off here. Still a very poor return. Only one season in ten where he's played over 25 league games.

Love Johnny Stones and he was outstanding particularly in the treble season but no to another statue for me.

Yes, I realise that now. Nonwithstanding he has still missed over half of the PL games in his time with us.

As mentioned he's only once played over 25 league games in a single season at City and that came in his very first year.

At 31 he should have had a good few seasons left at CB and could have potentially been our captain. Real shame.

We cant just build statues for every player we rate. Kompany, David & Sergio yes but if we start building them for the likes of Stones then we may as well start building them for Zabaleta, Yaya, Ederson, De Bruyne, Gundogan and so on.

Absolutely love the guy, but no. Less than 180 games in 10 years when we've been playing 50-60 games a season. Effectively only available for like 1 in 3 games. There's people that have contributed more and we have too many statues as it is.

They could have combined Vinny, Aguero and Spanish Dave similar to the 60/70s trio one instead of those large monstrosities.

Going to say no. At his peak he was phenomenal, but he wasn't a mainstay of the team for his entire run (he was almost out the door in 2020 before Dias came) and injuries took a big chunk of his time here.

Kompany, Aguero and Silva were the core of the team that began our ascension into the upper echelon of the Premier League so it makes sense they'd be honoured. Yaya arguably should have gotten the same but for a few spells of histrionics. KDB was arguably the greatest player in the world for big stretches at City plus he's arguably our greatest player ever so he's likely getting one.

I'd like to see some kind of commemorative display for the team that won the UCL (a statue, mosiac or mural etc) as that covers the majority of the Pep era squad but building a single statue for every key player during that 8 year stretch of dominance might be a little much.

Exactly this - is he loved as a City player during our best era? Yes. But we can't give them all a statue!

I like the naming of the training ground pitches after ex-players though. This is something I think we can do for him, for sure!
