Nailed it.Hugely popular and can't be judged by todays standards by people who weren't alive then. People today prefer nasty gossip in the jungle don't they?
It's a yes from me.
Good answer. I found it hilarious too, and i was far too young to possibly think Benny Hill was misausaginistic; )I loved it at the time. I was a young kid and found it hilarious. Not going to retrospectively change my opinion.
You're infantile, even though you're a proper miserable FOC.Infantile shit then.

Agree re Benny and Tommy was great but a little bit samey for me, surely the only British comedy genius of the 70s was Eric Morecambe !?It was a NO then and same today.
"Ernie" was a fun song but the creep's tv shows were among the most cringe-inducing things ever put out.
Truly funny & comic genius from that time? Tommy Cooper.
Saw an off-Broadway play last year that was over from London, "The Last Laugh" written and directed by Paul Hendy. Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse meet in a theatre's dressing-room before a show. All three actors got their comedian just right and the play moved from laughter to tears as they revealed the struggles and sadness they each dealt with in their personal lives.Agree re Benny and Tommy was great but a little bit samey for me, surely the only British comedy genius of the 70s was Eric Morecambe !?
