Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

If they win the league then a lot of it will go down to his leadership and engine room in the middle. That's what'll be said
And if they don’t win the league his lacklustre performances as a marquee 100mill player in crunch title matches should be called out but will they?

As someone above said, he's English and he absolutely won't be called out on it.

I just can’t see these dropping points, they will get scruffy 1 or 2-0 wins, probably get to the CL final but get destroyed by PSG or Bayern. I think by the time we get to the FA cup final the league winners will be known.

West Ham away is a maybe, certainly not Fulham at home. Fulham at home is a dream fixture after a European game

Fulham at home should be a game that you take a gamble on at this point of the season, but im just not sure they can do so

Im surprised at how little Norgaard has played this season, as I thought he was a solid player at Brentford; surely he could step in for Zubimendi

I could be very wrong, but I dont think this Arsenal side has got a huge performance in them now, and itll take grit and determination to get through these next few weeks
Both Zubimendi and Rice look like they are running on fumes and should have been rested more. I can't see Arteta making many changes for today, injuries to Timber, Havertz and Odegard have n't helped, but it is not in his DNA to rotate.

I think that perhaps, just for today, City and Arsenal fans can forget our rivalry to spare a thought for Rocky Rocastle, a great player whose 58th birthday it would have been today. Rocky died in 2001 aged only 33 and he left a wife and three children. His time at City was much shorter than at Arsenal but he left us with some great memories at a not particularly good time for our club. RIP Rocky.

I don't see them dropping points either and I think this time around they'll get over the line. Not because they've been amazing and have dominated but because earlier in the season we were.fucking shite and threw away easy points.

Yeah I guess beating them at the Etihad was for nothing.

Tell you what there are some people on here you wouldn’t want alongside you in the trenches

Yep, it was a great result and brought them right back down to ground. We'd have pissed the league if it wasn't for some pish throw aways.

Not sure what the fuck that has to do with trenches.

I’m calling you out and hoping you grow a back bone and get behind the team.

We’re the team in form

Arsenal are running on fumes

Arsenal are under a serious amount of pressure to get this done

Arsenal historically do not handle pressure well

Taking the points I’ve made into consideration I’m not sure how you come to the conclusion that they will beat us to the title.

It’s got fuck all to do with getting behind the team, they’ve got an easier run in, if they don’t fuck up today there’s no chance after Madrid they will fuck up they will grind out shit wins.

There’s no such thing as an easy run in during a title race especially when you haven’t won the thing in 20+ years

You massively underestimate how much pressure this arsenal team is under to get the job done

No I don’t underestimate it at all, but they have 3 points already I expect 6 by tonight and we’ve got to catch them, the pressure is on us more.

You expected them to beat Bournemouth at home and look how that worked out?

This Arsenal side is showing no signs that they are capable of winning the season out.

They will either drop points today or at west ham next weekend or possibly even in both

I swear - stoppage time was over and ref let them play on and - bang - goal. So typical. West Ham is the only team I see Arsenal dropping points to. But if they play the West Ham that played today - it will be ugly. They were absolute shyte today. Want to stay up Hammers? Effing win!!!
