Will we win the league this season? No

Imagine if we lose it by 1 goal it could be that fucker at Anfield!
Or the almost collapse at craven cottage, and even as recently as not scoring more at the moor. Reflection can wait, right now, we need to treat every game as though Sheikh Mansour promises a million quid per goal scored.

Goal difference only matters if we win our games. If we drop points then goal difference is irrelevant. We have to win our games convincingly to win the league. It’s possible.

You've just contradicted yourself.

Goal difference doesn't matter but we have to win convincingly? How do we do that; score lots of goals for example?

There have been loads of goals we shouldn’t have conceded n’all. Late goals that have snatched points off us:
Brighton away 89mins, 1 point taken off us
Arsenal away 93mins, 2 points taken off us and 1 given to Arsenal
Chelsea home 94mins, 2 points taken off us

We also lost leads that ended up in draws with loads of time left for us to go on and get a winner:
Brighton home, still had 30mins to get a winner but didn’t and dropped 2 points
0-2 up at Spurs, let them get back level but still had 20mins to get a winner and didn’t and dropped 2 points
Forest at home, still had 14mins to get a winner after Anderson scored but didn’t and dropped 2 points
West Ham away, still had 55mins to get a winner but didn’t and dropped 2 points.

And we missed so many chances with pathetic finishing at Burnley that could have added to our GD and GF.

We only have ourselves to blame if we don’t do it.

Not to mention :-
Newcastle away

If Arse win their remaining 3 games, I'd have them improving GD by 6: 3 vs Burney, 2 vs. Palace and 1 vs West Ham.

That means we have to win 5 matches by 10 goals - 2 per game. We need a couple of 3 goal wins - ideally Brentford and Palace. If we dont get those, I can see us needing 3 or 4 vs Villa on the final day. While not impossible, it would be very unlikely.

We really need West Ham to stop them next week.

It's easy to look at this exclusively through a City lens. That's just how football fans' brains work - I can be as guilty as anyone. But Arsenal fans will no doubt be saying similar:

Sunderland (away) - 94th minute equaliser cost two points
Villa (away) - 95th minute winner cost a point
Man Utd (home) - 87th minute winner cost a point
Wolves (away) - 94th minute equaliser cost two points

Plus losing at Liverpool when they were the better team and drawing 0-0 at Forest who were in a terrible run of form at the time.

It happens to all clubs during the ebb and flow of a season.

Both clubs have lost 5 and drawn 7 with half a dozen games to go, that is rubbish for a title. Both clubs only have themselves to blame if they don’t win, this has got to be poorest PL since Leicester.

West Ham will be well up for that game.

Our remaining games are far tougher than the Goons , and if does go to goal difference we play some teams who are fighting for european places and are no mugs , cant see us battering Everton , Brentford , Bournemouth or Villa but the Palace game is an opportunity because they will have a european final in their heads and possibly resting players
Our best hope is the Goons slipping up at West Ham , because the Hammers need something from that game , you can over analyse every game but the fact is their are goals in our team , we went to Burnley and had 28 shots which produced one solitary goal , cant see that happening again

seems to be a lot of people saying if we don't win it will be because of this or that or the other we didn't do blah blah blah.

but what if we do win it?

the negativity from some is like we're still watching a team from decades ago.

it's a fucking good job the staff and players don't think like some of the bedwetters on here.
they will be properly up for this, properly,
and they won't be looking back at shit that didn't happen, that's for sure.

you cannot control the past.
you cannot control the future.
all you can do is try to have some control over today.

this place is like a wet weekend in skeggy sometimes ffs.
