A disgraceful undermining of the Ticket Points system - again

You're probably right but I can only speak from personal experience in our SC Branch. There are plenty going to the Cup Final who we rarely see during the season. They have had lots of opportunities to go to cup ties and at low prices too but very few have done so. I would be amazed if we see many of them next season, North Stand incentives or not. People like that have been given priority over regular supporters and that's wrong. Contravening the Club's own rules is also wrong. If any of us did so they'd be quick to cancel our ST'S.
Pointless joining the FA cup scheme, just apply through the supporters club

When the new stand opens no one will have problems getting tickets for home games, certainly not cup games. You'll just be able to pick and chose when you want to go.
People said the same thing when the South Stand was expanded. I think more than 50% (actual percent might be incorrect) of the new season tickets for the North Stand would be allocated to the under 25s. I won't be surprised if everything is snapped up just like what happened with the South Stand.

I’ve said all along that we will get plenty of Blues in the expanded North Stand. There may well be more empties in some other parts of the ground,
Possibly the top of the East and Colin Bell stands. It’s vital we grow the younger fanbase and more season cards will help.

That still leaves plenty of tickets for others. As a season ticket holder on the cup schemes (this season at least) I see that there are lots S/T holders who don't attend the cup schemes.

Trouble is when you pick and chose bit difficult to complain if you miss out on the bigger games.

Tim, etc.

I didn't post it for a like.

I posted it to highlight Kevin's predicable ignorance.

It's all about Kevin again.

Why would it impact Kevin’s family?

Does Kevin not know and accept what is going on and the fan backlash?

That’s embarrassing from Kevin.

It vindicates what I said earlier on in the discussion that these conversations start about tickets and spread into hate about the supporters club. It was a decision by City on when OSC members could access Cup final tickets. I’ve said it was too favourable to members although I didn’t benefit I’ve no idea why some so called fans think a decision taken by City is justification for abusing Kevin Parker.

I am not aiming these comments at you but I am a bit surprised by your last post. What’s your justification for being so aggressive against other Blues.

He hates getting called out! If the reports are correct and the chairman had to get involved in the ticket and pricing issue again, should this person not be let go Manchester City Ticket Compliance Officer

You are conflating separate issues. City Matters negotiated the price freezes and credit to City for listening.

100% - no point slagging off our own when the problems over pricing / ticket transfers / allocations / stewarding / supporter bans all point back to the clowns within the club making terrible decisions

Seriously Tim.

So you think Kevin Parker and the OSC executives, whoever they are, had no input and say in this sorry mess? It was all down to City?

Do City, Kevin Parker, and the OSC executives not talk and discuss ticket issues before any ticket decisions are passed on to the OSC branch secretaries?

Honestly Tim, I have nothing against you, as you seem to be a good guy, and you help plenty of fellow blues, but you really do come across as nothing more than a mouth piece for Kevin Parker at times. According to you Kevin Parker can do no wrong and he isn’t accountable to OSC members and City fans as a City Matters Rep.

I am not going to get more involved because it’s going to go downhill and Ric deserves better for running this great forum.

I will say that Squirty Flower went up in my estimations when he brought his anger about the OSC/ my support to me in person rather than rattling on in here and boring everyone. His family were / are top people / Blues too.

That reads like a cop out Tim.

This issue has nothing to do with Ric, even though he owns and runs the forum.

Ric and the Mods could easily lock this thread if they thought it was getting out of hand, which it isn’t.

Blue Moon is a City fans forum where fans can discuss City related issues and discuss any grievances.

With all due respect Tim. You have used Blue Moon as a platform on countless occasions to constantly push Kevin Parker’s positive contributions to the OSC and for its members.

It seems to be heading that way......
If we can just stick to constructive criticism of individuals / organisations rather than personal abuse please.
Thanks

Actually he was initially saying that anyone signed up to the singing section would get a ticket, regardless of points, SC, and cup scheme status and he also implied that anyone signed up to it could log on at 10am yesterday and buy a ticket.

You’ve got a point to be fair as a minority of fans in that section will get an £80 ticket ahead of someone who is on higher points not signed up to it but no system is perfect and as has been stated the seats aren’t ringfenced indefinitely and they’re not the cheapest in our end anyway. The 1894 singing section has to go somewhere and since we started doing displays at Wembley it invariably has to be at the front of Level 1. If it was further back or in Level 5 then how on earth would we have been able to pull off the Dennis Tueart display in the Carabao Cup Final? Maybe some people want us to put the singing section in Level 2 where the £285 tickets are!

I’ll also add that on at least one other occasion before we used to do displays we did do a singing section further back that encompassed a mixture of cheaper and more expensive Level 1 seats. I’m pretty sure it was the Watford final in 2019 as I recall paying £115 for my ticket and thinking at the time that it was the most I’d ever paid for a ticket.

So no, it’s not a case of just bagging the cheapest seats because if it was we’d be in the £50 seats in Level 5.

On a side note, while I get people are frustrated I bet not a single one of them would turn down the chance of jumping the queue if they had a mate on higher points who wasn’t going to the game and offered them their ticket.
I bet that nearly everyone complaining has had a ticket somewhere, that they didn't qualify for through the points system. That they got from a mate or bought online or outside the ground.
