Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Really dont know what to feel after that, frustrating from a defensive point of view but we are lacking experience at the back, next season will be much better and without Rodri for the extra cover and his leadership we were exposed.

3-3 may prove a good result or it may not, either way I think most thought with the rebuild we weren't gonna be in the title race this season, so for it still to be an outside chance, with one cup in the bag and an FA cup still to play for its more than what I could have hoped for.

Me too mate.

We needed the win to put the pressure back on Arsenal …..failing that we now need them to fuck up, which I think they are more than capable of…..the worry is the officiating…the officials are currently making the difference in the title race imo. something needs to be said, and not by Pep.

Just watching the news and it said the Lino flagged Barry as offside so what is all this new phase stuff? It’s a free kick?

It's a young and inexperienced side and Everton stepped up their intensity and we crumbled. But the fight we showed to get a point is brilliant to see and we can use this experience in the future. We might still win the league, that's now unlikely in my opinion.
We know it's unlikely, it's just basic maths, no need for everybody to keep saying it. Anything can happen yet.

I can’t wrap my head around people being comfortable with games and performances like tonight just because we didn’t ’expect’ to be in this position during a rebuild.

Sounds just like grealish at Villa the pep effect strikes again
It’s two players who played in counter attacking sides with space to run into that both lack either the pace (Grealish) or technical ability ( Semenyo) to beat a man against packed defences.

You can’t blame Pep for the way Everton set up.

This is why Doku is so special.

Lucky to get a draw on the end. Should have put the hgame away by half time. They should have had a plenty penalty. Christ knows how VAR didnt give that for Bernados wrestling in the area.

Still, we know, from the QPR game in 2012, that its not easy to get over the line. Need to win all our last games and hope Arsenal bottle it....again
Ball wasn't in play when Bernado was wrestling so no pen. Arsenal have been doing it all season from corners.
