Will we win the league this season? No

That FA Cup final is huge IMO. For teams like City, a top 4 finish is the absolute bare minimum required. Throwing in a League Cup win, whilst nice for the fans, does not elevate a decent season to a great one. However, I think a domestic cup double and a 2nd placed finish makes it a very good season in most people’s eyes.
I think two cups is a good season, 2nd 3rd or 4th doesn’t make much difference to me tbh. In fact outside of financial reasons even that im not overly arsed about. You either win the league of you dont

I didn't think either team would win all their matches after the win vs arsenal - we had tough games and they had no form. Just make sure we're still in it on the final day and see what happens

After the city game Bernardo was adamant that both teams would drop points at least once. I still think if we win the rest of our matches we will win the league
I think if they beat West Ham, it is all over. Even Arsenal can't fuck it up from there, against just Burnley and Palace.

Yep. The West Ham game will decide it as they have as much to play for as Arsenal and playing before Spurs will give a chance to put pressure on Spurs who host Leeds on Monday.

Burnley will be a chance to pad the GD and Palace will likely put a second string out as the Conference League Final is three days later.

We can beat Brentford at home, and Arsenal can draw at West Ham. It's unlikely but not outlandish. When we were looking at our remaining fixtures, West Ham away have always been Arsenal's most difficult looking fixture, whilst Everton and Bournemouth away were City's difficult fixtures.

We've now made it easier for Arsenal because the pressure is less than it would have been but it's still a hurdle that Arsenal have to pass. You should not give up hope yet. City will not be giving up yet.

In a weird way and I'm aware this will sound like coping but I wouldn't say the pressure is less on Arsenal now.

Arsenal from this position are now expected to win the league. They'll go to West Ham desperate for the win, West Ham will know this and play on this. They can frustrate and timewaste because they know Arsenal don't want just a point.

We're also blessed that Spurs v Leeds is Monday, so West Ham are the ones setting the pressure and not having to win. A point keeps them in it.

Absolutely imperative that we beat Brentford and probably beat them tidily as we have to consider GD in this now.

Also, even if West Ham get a draw at the weekend, I can't see us hammering Brentford, Villa or Bournemouth.
Might beat Brentford by 2 and the other teams by 1, leaving us with Palace at home as the only game that we could build up a big scoreline in possibly.
Even that might not be enough as Arsenal will do likewise with Burnley.

We need a mentality shift IMO. You won’t see many more one-sided 1st halves than that last night and in years gone by full time that would have been a comfortable 3 or 4 nil victory. However, we see this continued pattern of what appears to be us trying to protect leads, rather than going for the kill like we used to. We now play a style at 1-0, that we only used to employ when the game was well and truly won. How many games did we watch where we would be 3 or 4 to the good and at 70 mins onwards we would have 80%+ possession, stop attacking and conserve energy? It felt like almost every week. Now we are trying this from the 46th min, with the game still in the balance. Our captain is one of the main culprits. It’s crazy stuff and it continues to bite us on the arse.
We battered them in the first half but last night they were playing against a wall of defenders so it's not as simple as we should have scored more.

At the end of the day we scored 3 and we've scored more than anyone else in the league so scoring isn't the problem. Points are more important and conceding stupid goals is why we didn't get another 3pts last night.

The stability of that defence and the midfield in front of it is still a question mark. Look at their 3rd goal, it's 3v3 and the entire midfield was still on the halfway line.

We could put 4 or 5 past any side at home on any given day, when it clicks for us, it clicks. The 3 home games we just have to go hell for leather.

Try and do a number on Brentford and then just see if West Ham can give us 1 last chance.

We can hammer any team if we turn up. Though granted, not on the form of the last three games

City 3-2 QPR 'was a final day 'certainty'. We only won that game because QPR were down to 10 men and word came through that QPR were safe. They promptly collapsed.

I do agree though that next match week is the most critical yet. A further problem for City is that Bournemouth lie in wait shortly after the Cup Final.

Those Betfair odds of 78:22, Arsenal:City appear reasonable to me.

Expected us to drop points somewhere and can see Arsenal dropping points after their game vs Athletico which could go extra time and pens. The Bournemouth game worries me more than it should however. There will be a lot of pressure on Arsenal in that last game of season so if its in their hands going into that game I will be rubbing mine. Even if palace are playing a second string, and I dont think they will be, and its not guarenteed either they will be in a final either. But the pressure on Arsenal will be immense. And they wont have Joey Barton to go crazy and save the day.

Arse 61% chance to beat West ham-thats the game right there. Might be a twist yet.
I think for people looking for hope i always go back to the Blackburn Title

No way do Liverpool try and beat Blackburn with Dalgleish as manager and give the title to their hated enemies.

West ham had fuck all to play for so no way the rags don't win.

Then Liverpool go and fuck over Blackburn and the West ham players who should mentality be on the beach defend like their lives depend on it. Absolutely mental and brilliantly funny. Fuck off raggys:-)

To counter when we won with Pellers West ham had brandy and cigars out and we all had a nice stress free day in the sun winning the title.

Unfortunately for me I dont think we are winning all our remaining games.

I hold absolutely no hope that west ham can get anything tbh, arsenal will have the bit between their teeth now. Best we can hope for is a soul sucking game against athleti, hopefully with extra time and pens to drain the legs a little
People were making the same comment when Bournemouth went to the Emirates a few weeks ago.

Nobody knows how any of the games for either of us is going to go. How many predicted 3-3 last night?
