9 | Khadija Shaw

Bunny is an exceptional player and she’s definitely a difference maker in City’s title winning team. It would be like letting Haaland go to a rival. I hope she stays. I’m not familiar enough with Women’s football to suggest a replacement. In the matches I’ve watched I’ve seen no one who compares.
She's a complete anomaly in women's football. There aren't a ton of 6 foot tall strikers who are as complete up front as she is.

Sounds more like she's still bargaining to me.

Don't know if City are still seeing if they can increase the offer still, but if Shaw wanted to go in sure she'd already have an agreement with Chelsea signed by now.

The fact it was leaked the morning after we won the league stinks a bit. You'd hope it wasn't just her agent putting pressure on City

I'm not sure where I heard.. some US club had offered her a massive payday, but just like KDB she wants to avoid going to the US.

So she's probably looking for the best offer that's more closer to where she is now..

I said a few days back Bunny Shaw was far too good a player to lose, and she proved it yet again today ..... City want to do everything possible to keep her, providing of course that she's happy to stay.

Re Sign Her Up.

Pay Bunny whatever she asks; come on Mansoor, Shake yer bunny, sell a couple of Lambos, a F-35 to the yanks, she must stay.

I suspect the sticking point is the length of contract on the table - it's a tough one because if they let her walk there is no doubt she will score goals wherever she ends up especially in the first couple of years. Looking at her today is a slightly different Bunny - she was largely anonymous for periods but ended up winning us the game with great finishes. A similar pattern this year.

Bunny of recent seasons would dominate defenders when running at them but we are seeing less of that recently. Is that the start of a decline or is it all to do with her state of mind? I don't know. Either way as fans we have to trust Therese and Charlotte on this one because from where we were - being a perennial stumbling at the final hurdle team to now never giving up and being so together is pretty special. I still recall when we had a lot of older players 2 years ago we were losing crucial games late on and we would stick with not getting the ball forward, passing back from everywhere on the pitch and end up missing out on titles because we didn't have energy and extra gears - we've changed that mindset completely and whereas Bunny has been key to that a top team evolves constantly with each new player coming in.

In other words I would be very happy if she stays but also if she does moves on I trust the club to use that money and squad space effectively.
