North Stand expansion | Trial Event - Wed 20th May (p110)

I'm not, even if I was local, turning up midweek for a no football reason, between 6pm and 8pm, was always going to be a tough sell, I'm actually surprised they've sold over half.
I don’t think it’s been advertised very well tbh think about all the city fans who live near the ground, there’s more than enough people who could go.

They could even invite local school kids, if needed

Yeah, this unfortunately. Midweek matches are a ballache at the best of times, never mind midweek fun, games and music!

I don't ever see it as a sticky on the main OS page. It should have been left on there as soon as the event was announced.

it blows my mind that whoever at City is responsible for organising this test event thought that thousands would be happy to pay to attend when there is nothing to see or do.

If they couldn’t have worked it to show the Bournemouth game on a screen or an open training session, then they needed to incentivise people to attend.

Instead they chose the cheapest option and have ended up with an event that is pointless as it won’t allow the stand to be opened fully for the Villa game.

Do the club ever do anything right in your eyes? Everything is always a shambles!

As it stands, and as far as we know, unless the club know something different and are taking alternative steps, the required amount of ticket sales and amount of people for the test event to be successful won't happen. If the test event isn't successful the club can't open NSL2 for the Villa game.

They'll promote it at the game today surely?
If the club named the players attending that might shift more tickets. Haaland, Cherki, Bernardo, Etc. Meeting those players and a few more would see an instant increase in ticket sales. So would telling people what prizes they could win, like a season ticket for NSL2, a team signed City shirt, etc. People need an insensitive to buy a ticket. City really do keep too much secret. Just tell the fans everything that's happening on the night. This test event is too important to be tucked away on the ticket page.

Yes but we know they want to so one way or another they will. Lots of options to get the required numbers in for the test event.

There is.

The club need to get the message out better.

11 days to go until the test event.

Only 9 tickets were sold in 3 days from Wednesday to Friday.

Yes I know but that wasn’t the point I was making.

They cant open it in full, they could potentially open it by using Villa as the test event with 3500 fans.
