North Stand expansion | Trial Event - Wed 20th May (p110)

That's what I think. 1894 as much as I love them and everything they do, I think they've made a big mistake turning their noses up at this. But we'll have to wait and see if they made they right choice or not, but from everything that I've seen, it's their loss at the minute
It’s their choice at the end of the day. But in terms of having a proper home end, it’s got cheaper tickets, standing, a low roof and potential for huge displays. It has everything needed to be class

I was expecting it to feel a lot further away than it did. SJP you feel miles away from the action and can only see the top of the crossbar if right at the back of that away end.

I think the steep single tier actually makes it feel quite close to the pitch still and you can comfortably see the entire pitch. Compared to where you are in the SS it's definitely quite a change but I think it's a fantastic view still and when compared to SSL3 and the facilities there it's a no brainer to move in my opinion.
For anyome in SS3 wanting more atmosphere or a cheaper season ticket, I would imagine it's perfect.

The stand is great, the concession areas spacious with a few side off shoots. Just too far from the pitch for me, but can definitely see it as an upgraded from SS3 for a lot of fans.

I'll post the pictures later tonight.
I took 80 pictures.
Not my best set of pictures as I was with a mate, I was rushing around quite a lot to try and get as many pictures as I could, and I was rubbered by the end of the event.
It was well worth a fiver. ;-)

I'll split the pictures into turnstiles/stairs, Level 1 concourse/bar/food, Level 2 concourse/toilets, NSL2 tier/seating/Etihad stadium, snagging issues.

My dad brother and I have relocated from 315 to 236. Hoping everyone who is moving to the safe standing in particular is equally keen on creating an atmosphere

I'm staying in 315 as I like to see the whites of the opposition fans eyes, give them a bit of verbal grief & my car pass is on that side of the ground too.

I'm a bit concerned that with so many seemingly moving which has surprised me a little that what atmosphere we have will be diluted further with singers/noisy fuckers being spread further afield.

Genuinely not being next to the away fans was one of the biggest things keeping me from changing on Monday, but by Wednesday I decided that if there was going to be a singing section and I want to create an atmosphere why would I go anywhere else. I enjoy 315, as relative to the rest of the ground it is a decent pocket of atmosphere, but I am hoping the new north stand standing will represent more of an away day feel to it.

I might even call it a day after Sunday.

7/8 hours out each home game and I'm not getting any younger.

I was also intending after 56 years about 49/50 of those with a ST clearing off before a new project started, so when Pep went, and I'll see the new stand open.

May well go onto spares for the odd game instead.

It's a gut wrencher but there comes a perfect storm time.
