If you are not playing Gonzlez to hold the midfield then i would have brought in Ait Nouri at left back and put O'Reilly in the middle for more physical presence , hope Pep has got it right

I think the starters have to do it, because the bench does not fill me with confidence.

I would imagine Reijnders is tasked with playing a bit deeper than usual, which is what I thought he should be doing from the moment he joined. We will see.

Ultimately we need a big fucking win to make up goal difference and put the pressure on and looks like Pep is trying to make that happen with this side.

But that's setting him up for failure, is t it? He is better running the channels. He is Nico O'Reilly with less physicality but a more cultured touch ( sometimes)

What he is not, and has never been. Is a swashbuckling aggressive CM. We can control the game with his and Bernie's touch, but when under pressure, they are highly unlikely hold up.

Lets hope there is an overall cohesion that reduces the need for lots of defending.
