Haaland stood at back post like a lamppost, why doesn't he try attacking the near post sometimes

I don’t disagree that he should mix it up a bit but most strikers in history have favoured the front or back post over the other. Whilst he could make more front post runs, it’s bizarre that we have the deadliest striker in world football, we know where he will be 95% of the time but we don’t cross to the back post.

Kovacic was awful in the Everton match, made a few mistakes, one cost us a goal.

I think Doku's doing his best to do that but there's 3 players round him most of the time, he needs some help. He can't win it for us on his own.

It’s like they don’t understand football, Messi’s best passes were always into space for players to run onto. It’s not like Doku is sending it to the back post. It’s literally going to the penalty spot and no one is gambling.

This scenario is literally the only reason you would consider having Casper in the side. He is the one you would be expecting to attack the penalty spot. He’s invisible.
