“And Brentford were left incensed by referee Michael Salisbury's decision to award Bernardo Silva only a yellow card in the first half when the City captain lashed out at Nathan Collins, a decision that was checked and approved by the video assistant referee (VAR).”

Typical BBC reporting on us, nothing like incensed, at the time. The same outlet that said this re the Dalots tackle in the derby

“Referee Anthony Taylor gave a yellow and that stance was backed up by VAR Craig Pawson, with PGMO chief Howard Webb saying the pair reached the right conclusion.”

It’s not much but fans of other teams who did not watch the game will read that and think we got away with one today, and that the scum challenge was not that bad.

All a negative on our team the wankers

I had a quick read of the sky app commentary. Full of "three big decisions going against Brentford"

Either a rag or tarquin supporter I suspect.

"Spirited Chelsea stop rot with FA Cup final blueprint". A 1-1 draw with a Liverpool team that gave up in February.
The BBC are a fucking joke.
If only (from Chelsea's perspective) they were playing the dippers in the FA cup final and needed a draw then that may well be true. As that is not the case, then it's totally irrelevant.

I can tell the British media's reporting of City has not changed at all which means it's still unbelievably shambolic. Well, if they hate us so much then we must be doing something right. Maybe they are just preparing themselves for the fact they won't have anything to cry about once we clear the charges, potentially next month. Oh what a shame, their money-making topic will fade away.

Watching MOTD you’d think Brentford had more chances than City. Absolute hatchet job in the editing room. 25 shots to 4 but the BBC show all 4 Brentford chances and our goals.

They have done that forever to be honest. At least the pundits talked about the game fairly. Doku was celebrated, and they clearly said no penalties, and didnt make a fuss of Bernardo nearly killing the 6'3" defender.

Remember a couple of seasons when Carragher and Neville had a go at City fans for allegedly booing the team off at half time….I actually thought the boos were aimed at the referee…..not heard a whisper about the scousers booing their team off today !!!!

Yes I remember , v spurs, and we were notbooing the team, that week Danny Murphy made a big fuss that it woukd never happen at Klanfield.

Must have been Chelsea fans eh

Predictably ,now CL qualification is in the bag they,ll get a few bad decisions like today where the foul on Fernandes should have been a sending off.
Like night follows day.

Keown was nearly crying in final score that Fernandes was football writers player of the year. Was talking about it should be for something exceptional and should wait til season over and give it Rice. I’d argue it should be Bernardo if we win 2 or 3 trophies. He’s the most underrated player in the league Bernardo
As our players always are

I watched the highlights last night on the bbc app. I swear they are totally different to what they put on motd
Sky's highlights were even more unrepresentative of the overall game. Basically cut out most of the first half of Doku's chance creations and showed every time Brentford crossed the halfway line.

They showed all Brentford’s four shots and ignored most of our 25. They gave airtime to the moron Brentford manager who made a fool of himself.
