175…… 2 sold on last 8 hours!
Maybe in another generationThe old guard has run its course. Need new blood in now. We need to bring in some of the lads from the Seat Counting Academy.
Sadly I think a lot have been priced out. I met some regular fans on the train, some with kids. They went to the LC Final but can’t afford the FA Cup. We don’t have a wealthy hard-core support. We have a brilliant local support but everyone has their financial limit. Not sure why anyone really cares, to all intents and purposes it's sold out, a few stupidly priced tickets aren't sold, and I wouldn't entertain those prices.
Our third visit to wembley in 3 months, well done blues.
FWIW, we pay for the travel for a family in the Branch for each Cup Final (in turn). Our coach is sold out charging £40 for adults and £25 juniors for other members.Sadly I think a lot have been priced out. I met some regular fans on the train, some with kids. My son went to LC Final with my now 6 yr old Grandson. He put 2 tickets in the basket on Friday at a cost of £490!....At the last second he thought fuck that and deleted. This was the packed train back to Blackpool. I see these faces every week, every night match. We have huge support in Blackpool and Fylde. Many of them can’t make this Final. Well done on what you are doing. We pay for the travel for a family in the Branch for each Cup Final. Our coach is sold out charging £40 for adults and £25 juniors for other members.
tell wife your going to spoil her and dine outIf you have a beer and something to eat you'll make a profit :-)
I am always impressed with our support in the Blackpool area. I know one of the guys on the local supporters club committee who’s a top Bkue, like many others in the area. truth is no other fans could pay out money were asked to apart from two cheeks of same arse insecure fans but i doubt we'll find out as to achive what we done over last thirteen years is phenomenalSadly I think a lot have been priced out. I always think that the huge numbers who turn out for our parades show how vast our local support really is. It’s sad that so many can’t afford football. To be fair to United it is the same for their fanbase, especially in Salford. The pubs are packed with fans watching them on TV who have been priced out. It’s the same in Liverpool.I am always impressed with our support in the Blackpool area. I know one of the guys on the local supporters club committee who’s a top Bkue, like many others in the area. It’s a real shame that families are getting priced out. I went to the Women’s Derby at the swamp and there are families who would love to see our first team at the Etihad. That’s partly why I’ve always felt seats in the expanded North Stsnd would sell pretty well if priced right.
The extra 4-5,000 season cards are the biggest opportunity to boost our match going fanbase in years.
Spot on mate but there is the odd exception that proves the rule. Me and r kid had to go to the bank in Eccles. We then went to Greggs and an elderly lady was struggling for a seat so we moved up for her. She was wearing a Utd hat and ruck sack. R kid said to her, “You must be a big Utd fan”. She replied that, “They were the cheapest items in the charity shop.I always think that the huge numbers who turn out for our parades show how vast our local support really is. The ones who care will be the members who haven’t been to a home cup game this year. They’ve had to sit right through this whole weekend watching that tiny number of CAT1 tickets fluctuate at the whim of a malevolent and dishonest algorithm whilst not knowing whether they will get chance to go to the cup final. That’s the hidden and often acknowledged work of Seat Counters in the Community: providing hope. Not sure why anyone really cares, to all intents and purposes it's sold out, a few stupidly priced tickets aren't sold, and I wouldn't entertain those prices.

Without the algorithm this may well have sold out on Friday. The ones who care will be the members who haven’t been to a home cup game this year. They might be spending £30/40 in the pub a far cry from £200 for tickets and travel. It isnt cheap I know.
But you say the pubs are packed out, they are not sipping Lemonade. At half time yesterday in S314, as I ventured for my half time wee, many fans who had gone out at 40 minutes and who did not return until 50 minutes, were drinking and the bogs were rancid of smoke, Someone spilt a drink on me ( they did apologise, no problem).
Our tickets were 20 quid each( FOC),
Yes I know some people will genuinely not be able to afford it, but the truth is City will be watched by more fans next season than anytime in their 140 yr history. Some people will choose to spend their money differently and drinking in the pub while kinda watching football is one of those choices.
They’ll open it out to members on Monday and it will sell instantly but that should have been done last week so people can plan. I stand by what I said before the game went on sale: they should offer these tickets immediately to any season card holder or member, and let the ordinary tickets be sold through the normal sales criteria. Basically it means any blue who is happy to pay through the nose can buy these and make plans immediately and it means that there could be more cheaper seats available to members prepared to wait.Without the algorithm this may well have sold out on Friday.
You cant go from being sold out to within 1 hour finding nearly 200 seats available across 6 blocks in some of the smallest blocks in Wembley.
City take the algorithm off and sell the tickets.
