Referees' Performances | 2025/26

If there was just a sniff of consistency with fouls on the keeper, or even just fouls in general, we could all have a chance of being able to accept these decisions but, every subjective decision has become THE focal point of too many games & matches are being decided by subjective reffing.
I’m sure the online gambling syndicates are delighted though

That is what they call levelling up, the goal was never gonna be allowed to stand, bent as fuck, this is part of the 115 punishment.
Correct, innocent on all counts pending but take a knock this season

Weak as piss, don’t know rules of a football match, and think they are bigger than the game every referee in this league, corruption I’m not sure but clueless I’m certain

But don’t worry, Dermot Gallagher’s son will be on here again soon enough to put us all right and defend every man in black that has ever taken the whistle

I think most could see why a fouls could be given.

The uproar is about the lack of consistency, that seems to benefit Arsenal more than most.

Also, the line for what a clear and obvious error should be, if a decision takes 4 mins to deliverate.

Also, if a foul is given on the keeper, why not a proper check on the two or three fouls on West Ham players happening simultaneously.

I spot 3 fouls on West Ham players there

Personally I think it’s a foul on Raya, but that incident only highlights how shit VAR is and how it is applied, and how badly the refs are being told to manage games.

4 mins to make a decision, so clear and obvious, probably not.

But allowing (not in all cases, so then you have consistency) holding and grappling to the extent they have this season is just ridiculous. Anyone holding a player with arms around them, irrespective of whether the ball is 1, 2, 5 or 20 yards away, should be getting penalised for a foul. They aren’t looking at the ball, have no intention of playing it, or concerned with where it is, they are just impeding an opposition player.

Think that the premier league has blown its own product …

I’m done with it

It’s a fucking pantomime

Will always love city but back to Jon league footy for me

Webb has to go.
He has overseen a season that has had more controversy since the PL began, a season where his referees have been told to let the game be more physical and then to allow more subjective calls. A season where it has been said VAR will not overrule senior referees like Oliver and Taylor so instead of them going by the laws of the game they are put into god like status and never overruled or criticised. Todays decision to disallow West Hams goal when all season it has been Arsenals plan a to score such goals without any interference from the ref or var. By going all out to have a new name on the trophy and stopping City, yes that is their plan, they have probably relegated West Ham, who I think have every right to be fuming over the disallowed goal.
WEBB HAS TO GO.

Remind me, how much have PP saved by City not winning the league, having already paid out on the Arse winning it?

This isn't a sport. We are leaving it to morons in an office miles away from the action and incompetent referees to determine the outcome of the league.

As standard, VAR audio should be released straight after the game, for the entirety of the check.

The foul on Raya, very soft, Arsenal have done that thousands of times this season and got away with it, but have they even discussed Rice on Mavrapanos? Have they even SPOTTED it?
