Prague derby match abandonment

Fucking idiots.

Winning 3-2 at home with 3 mins to go. A result which would have clinched them the title, against Sparta (the 2nd placed team) and and they do that.

Most likely the game will result in a forfeit and instead of celebrating winning the league at home to your hated rivals, they'll only be 5 points ahead with 3 games left to play. They'll most likely win the league still but imagine if they didn't.

I dislike both teams immensely but my best friend is a Slavia season ticket holder and is so disgusted by the fans' behaviour that he told me today that he longer cares if they win the league or not.
 
Their team’s mentality might be different now. They’ll be disappointed they couldn’t have sewn up the title in that game and they’ll be pissed off with their fans.

Would be funny if they lost a few games and didn’t go on to win the league title after that.

I went to a slavia home match a few years ago. I thought it was odd , when I noticed a fire engine parked not far from the pitch. Then after about twenty minutes I understood why . There was smoke and red flares like bonfire night . Only stadium ive visited that has cheaper beer inside than outside. Think the seats even had cup holders for the pints .

Seats in most stadiums here do. At the team I support, they even bring it to your seat.

Which is your team?

I’m headed to Czech in the new season to visit my partners family and I’m hoping to do a few football matches along the way!

Bohemka (Bohemians 1905).

Some decent games in the league. Small crowds but decent atmospheres if you get the right games.

What was the tipping point for them to kick off, seems just 'general' hatred could have hung on for 3/4 minutes.

No idea really. They have always been hated rivals but they were winning 3-2 (they were down to 10 men but that was some while before this occurred so wasn't the spark) with only 3 mins to go.

I can only guess it was planned and they thought the game was over. Even then, it would be stupid and it will bring pretty harsh puniishment.
 
I went to this derby at Sparta in 2019. Loads of pyro, good atmosphere but oddest thing was a pigs head.

Dont worry, They have called over the Mersyside Police to help find the culprits, So far they cant see what the fuss is about?...............
