Premier League Games | 9/10/11/13 May '26

I watched this game in a pub in Portsmouth. You could hear the collective groans as it went to VAR. Then pure outrage when it was ruled out.

A truly outrageous decision to rule that goal out.
No matter how outrageous we think the decision was, there will always be a coterie of ex-refs who think that whatever decision was given it was the correct one. Had it been allowed, it was the correct one. Had it been disallowed it would have been the correct one. No other sport on the planet is so abysmally arbitrated as football, and probably within football the most abysmally arbitrated league would be the PL.

VAR causes more problems than it solves these days, both the English and Scottish leagues have been manipulated this weekend to get the outcome the governing bodies & Wayne Rooney desperately want

Meanwhile, away from twitter fantasyland, the real Wayne Rooney said:

"It's a clear foul," Rooney said on the Wayne Rooney Show.

"You're going to obviously get a lot of people saying they think it should have stood because it's controversial and probably all the [Manchester] City players, staff, fans are going to say it should have stood. And then you're going to get all the Tottenham fans, players, staff saying it shouldn't have stood and of course the Arsenal fans and stuff.

"But it's a clear foul. I think you can clearly see the arm crosses his face and it impacts him getting to the ball. So I think it's the right decision.

I'd rather listen to my own death rattle than listen to the opinions and rantings of this deluded, fat, wig-wearing, granny shagging, rag has-been.

Boothroyd said he called it out in 30 seconds that is was a foul.Another has been who lives in a different world. No wonder Ref Watch is Shit with them 2 on it.Gallagher who always goes with the Referee however controversial it is.Muppets the pair of them.

Big game today. My bruv and his best mate are big Spurs fans so I'm giving them a little support here. Looks like Hammers are down which is a shame. TBH I'd rather it be Leeds or Forest.

10:30 onwards.

Bent as fuck.

Dermot wants a carbon copy? Yer can't get more carbon-copied than the foul on the Rag goalie and the 'foul' on Arse goalie. Two arms across two goalies' throats. These ex-refs want whatever decision fits their preferred outcome.

Boothroyd was the biggest journeyman nobody in existence.

The fact Sky pay the **** thousands of pounds for 5 minutes of his “expertise” is all you’ll ever need to know.

West Ham should take the cunts to court.
On what basis? They would have to prove that the decision was made through deliberate illegal malice, which it wasn't. Even if they didn't have to prove that - even if they only had to prove that the decision was made through incompetence - the fact that so many people do think it was a foul on Raya would also make it very hard to prove that PGMOL were alone in thinking it was a foul. So that would be a waste of everyone's time and a total non-starter.
