Will we win the league this season? No

I agree with this. It is a foul, as soon as you touch a keeper in a way that prevents them from claiming the ball, it should be ruled as a foul. Raya's arm and shoulder was being pulled, there's two fouls on the keeper. There was wrestling going on amongst all the players in the box, but for me as soon as the keeper is intentionally blocked/touched, its a foul.

PIGMOL have a lot of work to do this summer. Arsenals set piece coach has created a monster and it has spiralled out of control. They have allowed the premier league to become a free for all at corners and it should have been stopped ages ago.
Yep, I think it's the inconsistency that is more annoying than anything else. I think back to Bournemouth's equaliser at our place earlier in the season which was a clear foul on Donnarumma but it was allowed to stand. And then we have all the pushing, shoving, and grappling that Arsenal players get up to in the opposition box at set pieces and it largely goes unpunished. Sure, they're not the only team that does it but they probably do it to a greater extent than any other team. The whole thing needs reigning in and clamping down on.

It's easy for us to say it's a deliberate ploy to stop us winning the league but we weren't the only ones on the receiving end of that yesterday and if that point West Ham didn't get is the difference between them going down and staying up then that's a far bigger price to pay than us not winning the league.

Stranger things have happened but I can't see Arsenal relinquishing it from here. However, we need to just keep winning and take it to the final game. Palace will be concentrating on the Conference League Final which should make Arsenal's task easier but if it's not done by then it can still be a tricky place to go and get a result and I bet Palace would love to chuck a spanner in the works.

I don't think the Donna one against Bournemouth is comparable to yesterdays on Raya. Even though it was still a foul on Donna, he wasn't about to claim the ball and it was only a small touch of the hand, and he let go of him by time the ball was in the box.

Raya was a clear as a foul as they come. As soon as they showed it and I went ahhh ffs that's a foul. Set pieces haven't been officiated right all season. City fans can claim its corrupt, but only last week Bernardo should have given a penalty away, but VAR wasn't having it.

From next season, keepers should be given all the protection they need from the officials. It is the last line of defence and preventing them from taking a ball cleanly should be a foul.

This is the hope I'm clinging onto. Different pressure trying to win the game to win the league

I think Bernardo was still pissed that they were allowed to get back into the game. Their fullback should have been off. They roughed us up and no one fancied it. Yes he should’ve gone. Nevermind.

As an ex keeper I agree in principle with this but the point about yesterdays was that the guy doing the fouling was being fouled all the way up to the incident. It’s a penalty every day of the week and twice on Sundays. We had a similar one in a derby a few years back where Rodri was fouled IIRC

I don’t see Arsenal dropping points now. Nor do I see us winning all our remaining games
That's a good point. I was never confident we'd win all our remaining games even if Arsenal did drop points. Especially once Rodri was injured. It's frustrating, but as someone said, maybe it's just the time we miss out in a close race for once.

Unfortunately Rooney got one prediction right. Going through the remaining games on MOTD a few weeks ago, he said City would drop points at Everton, and Arsenal would go on to win the title. As it stands the Rag, Granny Shagger, could be right.

Don’t be fooled. He only said that because Arteta is his mate and Everton his boyhood club.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day however I still think there might be one final twist if we can push this to the final day.

If and yes I acknowledge it’s a big if we can win our next two games and pump up our GD (so we are at least level in that regard with Arsenal going into the final day)

Final day of the season we take an early lead against Villa. News filters through to Selhurst Park that Arsenal as it currently stands now sit in 2nd place.

The Palace fans take great delight and the noise in the stadium from the home support goes up several decibels as they would love to witness the choke of all chokes live In person.

Arsenal get more and more frustrated and desperate on the pitch maybe they even go a goal down (they are due to concede). The pressure will be absolutely immense.

You just never know…

It's unlikely but if we can beat Palace, and Bournemouth, and score first vs Villa, we go top, and there will be pressure on Arsenal.

Palace will not want Arsenal to life the trophy in Selhurst Park, South London. And Villa will have the Europa League final in their legs so there are some things going for us...but not a lot.

If we win our next 2ngames, we can be 1 or 2 goals behind so that a City 1 or 2 goal win on the final day combined with an Arsenal draw take us top.
