On the way back from the game on Saturday I noticed that Natalie Pike was presenting the Radio 5 606 Phone in show (alongside someone else) instead of the usual Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton. And what a refreshing change it was too after the usual fake and obvious shock jock tactics of those two. She even stood up for City a time or two.

Fair play to her for carving out an increasing media profile in an incredibly competitive market. City need as many representatives as possible in the media and alongside a small number of ex-players she's definitely one of our own.

I heard that too and was trying to figure out how she was on the pitch at half time then presenting 606 straight after the game
 
As Savage moved to Forest Green this season he doesnt do the Saturday show and they have been using a number of different presenters mainly with the idiot Sutton Natalie has done quite a few of them and yes she is very good and does bat for City The pundit was Clinton Morrison who is ok but a bit thick

I didn't know she'd done others. I've heard her doing match reports etc though so she's clearly developing her profile. That Clinton Morrison's Jafaican/Gangsta accent does my head in but that's probably my age.

Yeah she has being doing 606 for a few seasons as a stand in for Savage probably because they have the same hair style
 
Tbh I find her almost as annoying as Savage, obviously she’s pro city but it’s all giddiness and no substance.

But I suppose 606 has never been a serious programme, it’s the BBC’s attempt at tapping into the lowest common denominator Talksport pissed idiot market.

I can only listen to it for 5 mins before I can feel my brain cells melting.

Yes it’s a shame because when Danny Baker started the programme it was aimed at proper football fans and many a tale was told that co you ok d only happen at a football match.
Now sadly it’s shock jock clickbait shite, Sutton is a twat, Natalie is a bit lightweight. Savage would be good if he dropped some of his silliness

The last time it was vaguely listenable was when Kelly Cates hosted with Ian Wright. That was what, 10 years ago?
 
I have to say about her and Danny they have somehow managed to con city out of one of the best gigs going. Most recent example was the fan zone at the Carabao final , both just stood on top of a platform getting pissed and stuffing their faces with free food while the DJ played pre recorded tunes. No interaction no getting the fans going just literally getting paid for getting pissed, pair of chancers.
