Worth pointing out, that he has not quoted the full sentence, there is an important bit left out.
What he actually said was 'Man City or Serie A? What matters is..'
Fabrizio being a bit selective to get his own tweet recycled.
What family reasons? Isn't he on the way to being divorced with both parties having moved on (or has that changed?)? Two of his kids are in their 20's, the youngest 17 I think? Now this could be absolute bollocks but I’ve been told it’s a stick on that Pep is leaving at the end of the season, primarily for family reasons, if he does I’ll be gutted, be a really bad day but Pep has earned the right to determine his future.
I really hope it’s bollocks but the rumour has some traction as the person who told me has a connection to a few ex players not just at City.
Don’t shoot the messenger please!
Considering only a handfull of people in the club would know and nobody in the media really known anything, that seems unlikely. Now this could be absolute bollocks but I’ve been told it’s a stick on that Pep is leaving at the end of the season, primarily for family reasons, if he does I’ll be gutted, be a really bad day but Pep has earned the right to determine his future.

Which ****, Fabrizio or Enzo?Yeah well I don’t like the **** so he can fuck off
Maresca. I dont really have feelings either way on the other oneWhich ****, Fabrizio or Enzo?
I hope so, I really do.Considering only a handfull of people in the club would know and nobody in the media really known anything, that seems unlikely.
You are Ally McCoist, and I claim my £5I hope so, I really do.
Who knows what's going on though? It could be that he's already agreed to come but has been asked not to let it slip. That would make sense as we're approaching the most important part of the season and anything like that leaking out could be a distraction.Maresca. "It's May now, and the championships are coming to an end. In the meantime, I'm resting and trying to prepare.
"I've been everywhere. I enjoyed myself as a player in four different countries, and as a coach I've already been in two or three different countries. I adapt quite well.''
Doesn't sound like he has the City job all lined up as people suggest, sounds like he is still inviting offers and looking at various options. Coupled with recent talks with Napoli and Fenerbache, I'm not buying this whole 'done deal' speculation.
Could be. I find it unlikely or certainly harder to believe.Who knows what's going on though? It could be that he's already agreed to come but has been asked not to let it slip. FWIW, I heard weeks ago from a reliable contact that Pep is leaving at the end of the season. He didn't know who the replacement would be at that stage though. Then Ric - who has his own contacts - posted more recently that Pep is leaving and Maresca is the replacement. Whether it will be Maresca or not is open to question but I think the more pertinent issue for us fans is that at least 2 different but reliable sources have said Pep is leaving. Obviously I hope that isn't the case but Pep's not staying here forever and will leave eventually.
He is also saying if/when for the first time before he’s implied that it was sure that he was leavingWorth pointing out, that he has not quoted the full sentence, there is an important bit left out.

Yes, the Friday before the Villa would be my best guess re any announcement (if he were to be leaving this summer). If Pep was going to go, surely it would be announced ahead of the final League game of the season v Aston Villa as it would just seem odd/unlikely for us all to applaud the team at the end of the Villa game and then in the middle of June it be announced - Pep is leaving. Just doesn't seem like that would be the case.
Also, if I was Pep I would do one more season because with him as manager I think we would have a great chance of winning the League next season. Arsenal if they win it this season - v difficult to do back to back. Liverpool look in transition. United will not be as high due to more games next season. Villa are a good side but lack squad depth. Chelsea have well known issues but no Europe could make them dangerous depending on the appointment.
Would that disrupt preparations if we're still in with a chance of the title?Yes, the Friday before the Villa would be my best guess re any announcement (if he were to be leaving this summer).
Don't want him, how thick do you have to be to not know if you had lived/managed in two or three different countries as a coach.Maresca. "It's May now, and the championships are coming to an end. In the meantime, I'm resting and trying to prepare.
