The FOC thread.

Hooray! Home at last. Feels very strange, home feeling unfamiliar. Our cat was delighted to see me, tail fluffed up and purring for England.
Brand new room downstairs with bed, basin, shower, toilet. Conversion of third reception room. Mrs KS has done a great job organising the work but failed to include a young blonde in the new facilities.
Drains were problematical but the inspector passed the new configuration yesterday. The builder had not allowed for the extra work but stuck to his original quote…. Well done, sir.
Hopefully I will continue to recover from my injuries, egged on by whisky and co codamol. Body still quite painful but doc says it’s just slow recovery.
Now we just need Arsenal to drop points, which they may well do, VAR permitting.
C’mon City.
That’s great news, mate.

I’m delighted that the convalescence and recovery are continuing continuing well.

Keep it up.

My bones are a bit grim today after the walk in he rain last night but it was all worth it considering the 3 points in the bag and we caught up on goal difference. I'll hunker down for a day until my body catches up with the wear and tear it takes a little longer now.

How is the view? :-)

What was our farm looks right into Falmouth Bay.

It was once described to us as the best view in Cornwall.
In 76 instead of taking o level exams i ran off to Cornwall, got a job at a hotel in Carnon Downs and stayed the summer. Lived in and had one day off a week, Falmouth or Truro was where I went, Truro if my day off was Tuesday, market day and I'm sure the pubs were open all day.
It was a great start to adult life.

Wednesday is/was market day in Truro.
Monday in Helston.
Friday in Redruth.
Helston and Redruth markets both now long gone.

But I think you’re right about the pubs being open all day in Truro on market day.
