Season Card taken away after 50 years!

I got an email and call from the ticket office saying I would only be entitled to a flexi if the same happened this season. I could see the writing on the wall and didn't renew

So the club offered you a way of getting your seat for as many or as few games as you wanted or were able to make, you didn’t take them up on it and that the clubs fault?

Are they? Where have they said that?

And when you say 4,000 new ones, do you mean flexi tickets?
It was posted by one of the City matters reps via a response from the club. Yes, the new 4,000+ tickets are initially Flexi (as are all non-renewed full ST's presumably), from memory from the same post I think it was around 2/3s of Flexi holders who were offered a full ST after meeting the requirements, decided to stick with Flexi as it suited them better.

I have been bumped to a flexy ticket because only will make 8 or 9 games this season mainly because of 2 holidays being not 100% over the winter my sister In law passed after a short illness she lived down south so missed a couple there ,my first season ticket 1970 missed about 10 years between 85 and 94 .
As l'm 81 next it's hard going sometimes but going to Wembley as it will be 70 years since l became a blue
Was at Royal Albert Hall at a scout jamboree that day against Birmingham ,sorry about length of this but l might miss a lot of games next season so l will accept the flexy season ticket
Legend mate

Given that all non-renewed or cancelled ST's are put back into the pot for the next season and they're issuing 4,000+ new ones with the extension, they're really not.
Not true. Gave mine up this season. Mates tried to move to them but club refused. Now sold as a pair for each game.

Are you deliberately being stupid, in his OP he says they sat in his dad's and dad's mate's unoccupied seats due to being unable to attend to due to an injury. And therefore didn't accrue the attendances in their own seats.
If you read the post there’s an ambiguity in the use of “their season cards”. It’s not immediately clear DD means the cards of his dad and mate (rather than his sons’ cards).

There’s 1000’s of tickets left for the Palace game, when the team are fighting for the PL title. And there will be another 8000 seats to fill next season. As well as 1000 away seats on SSL3 when they aren’t being taken up by the away team. And the directors at City have sanctioned taking season tickets off City fans because they haven’t attended more than 10 home games. I’m looking forward to 1000’s of empty seats across the Emptyhad next season. As they say, you reap what you sow.

Oh it's such a perfect day,i'm glad i spent it with you.oh, such a perfect day,you just keep me hangin' on.You're going to reap just what you sow.

Wait for CL matches I’m not joining it next season and I know a few others aren’t, the row I usually sit on is devoid of season ticket holders as it is, things are only going to get worse, I think we are heading for a recession with the Iran shite going on, people just haven’t got the cash anymore.

I missed two of the 19 games at home that season - and missed 5 of the 10 goals we scored....
I was the same. Was out of the country for one of them. Sat home with a broken foot for Fulham, I think we scored 3 in the first 15 minutes.

Absolutely it is. And for me, after 25 years of the club told me I didnt deserve to keep my season ticket ai'd make exactly the same decision.

If working shifts it must be impossible.

I've missed 3 this season due to my lads wedding which was obviously booked before the fixtures came out, one due to visiting family over the xmas period and another when I had to gamble around an International break and went the wrong way!!!

2 were sold on by me, so only 1 empty seat all season and that was when the club didn't sell on the exchange. If I'd been able to move that one on myself before the new rules it'd have been a full house.

Nobody should be stuck/expected to be available for 19 random days in a season (I know 10 is 'legal') especially as some games are arranged with limited advance notice.

I knew it was time to give my season ticket up the moment stewards tried to turf me out literally as the final whistle went. I wanted to just sit in my seat for 5 minutes to let everyone get out (I get vertigo in heavy crowds) and the stewards were on my case telling me to go home. There was players still on the pitch clapping fans!! Got threatened with the police for not moving so in the end I went and decided that was me done for a season ticket
I don’t believe you.

Me too! Missed West Ham at home - was on holiday and Everton at home - New Year’s Eve and on honeymoon. Didn’t score another home league goal rest of season.
