Season Card taken away after 50 years!

There are clearly some very obvious circumstances where season ticket holders need to be given a pass for not making 10 games.

That being said, why should someone who consistently fails to attend games get the financial benefits of being a season ticket holder? If you can’t make half the games you need to be buying on a match by match basis and let the season ticket go to someone who can attain the level of commitment a season ticket holder should have.
Can't disagree with this.

Not after the first season though if there are exceptional circumstances reported properly, which is what I believe does happen.

Nobody should be stuck/expected to be available for 19 random days in a season
If only it was 19 random days, when the fixtures come out, you have no idea how many random days it will be, it can be any of 4 days in anyone weekend, and that's before you factor in how far you progress in cups.

Luckily I'm retired now, but it's still a logistics nightmare even when you don't work, if you live 3+ hours away. I used to mostly drive the journey, but that really doesn't interest me much these days, and the trains are fucking expensive.

There’s a lot of different thoughts on this issue on here but I was under the impression that the reason for the 10 game compulsory attendance (as opposed to giving or selling your ST to some “friend”) is because it has become more prevalent in English PL football for STs to be used by some as a money making machine ie they are being sold regularly by the holder, for a lot of money to “tourists”
I also thought all clubs were suffering in the same way eg rags who have several STs and live in say, Ireland, only keeping their STs so they could sell them for a fortune to others who are willing to buy at any price.

Accordingly I was under the impression that most top clubs were applying the same rules - and demanding that ST holders use their tickets themselves- not passing them to F&F or putting them on the Exchange.

Is this incorrect & don’t other clubs apply these new rules?

And on a Sunday or after 10pm, the trains are few and far between. I am sure that the number of seats available tomorrow reflects the difficulties of getting to the ground and back home on a midweek night.

I don't think you should have to go explaining yourself to the club why you've missed a certain amount of games either, Health, work, holidays, personal shit. If your seat is getting used every game by yourself and whoever is on your F&F list what's the fuckin problem?

Only time you should be sanctioned is flogging your ticket to away fans or ticket sites.
In that situation I don't think it is a problem?

It appears to the tickets that are not being scanned, so they appear to be unused.

I gave mine and my daughters season ticket to City in the community after the second game of the season as my brother got run over and has a massive brain injury. I will just be renewed for next season without it affecting anything as I explained the circumstances to the club and it also gave people the chance (free) to use our seats.
The club were great with me last year when i had major illness spending 10 weeks in hospital. They offered to refund me for any games I couldn’t transfer or sell on the planner. In fact in the event only one match was unattended.

That's really good. I was honestly quite happy to just know people we're on our seats at the time. I really hope that you are fully recovered and able to rejoin next season as hopefully we can.

Thanks. It was over the 24/25 season so have been fine all this season. In fact seen every home game so far and 15 aways. You appreciate it more when you are lucky to be alive.

Onwards and upwards for all us City fans that have been struggling and have hopefully moved forward. It sounds like you have been absolutely appreciating all the life that's ahead of you. Good on you.

But City makes a cut of the ticket exchange when they sell for higher, so they effectively double dip on the ticket sales. My guess is they don't like it when ST give to friends and family and they can't get additional monies.

There’s 1000’s of tickets left for the Palace game, when the team are fighting for the PL title. And there will be another 8000 seats to fill next season. As well as 1000 away seats on SSL3 when they aren’t being taken up by the away team. And the directors at City have sanctioned taking season tickets off City fans because they haven’t attended more than 10 home games. I’m looking forward to 1000’s of empty seats across the Emptyhad next season. As they say, you reap what you sow.

I'm in the retired FOCjr group and with 90/120 mins ew to drive (how I laughed with the M60 being closed on Saturday evening), it can end up a good 6/7 hours out of the house just for a normal game.

My son occasionally gets invited into a box, but it's always at the last minute.
And when I say last minute, I mean 5pm for 8'oclock kick off.
Maybe Friday night before a 3pm.

Goes down as missed game!
Errr He's been with someone who pays about £200k a season!!!!!!!!!!

No other club in the Premier League has a minimum “in person” attendance policy as far as I know.

If they want to stop the touts then don’t bring in measures that 1) Screw some genuine fans over and 2) Don’t necessarily stop the touts anyway

If that’s happening regularly, then find a way to get the mobile ticket onto another phone and give it to a mate. Sure it’s great being in a box but leaving an empty seat in the ground? Surely everyone wants that to be filled.
