Tuchel will ignore him in favour of Bellingham and Palmolive, hope so anyway so Phil has a summer off and comes back fully refreshed next season.
Its up there with Savinhos suitcase in the snooker room and Grealish's off field antics. Can someone clarify what foden’s ‘off field issues are?’ podcasts and interviews mention something going on but no one ever says
I don’t want him at the WC. With England, he always looks like the little lost puppy on his 1st day at doggy day care. I think he’s better off out of that environment.Played well. Horrible thing to say, but I hope his returning to form has come just a little too late to rekindle his World Cup aspirations. A summer off and some strengthening in the gym would likely benefit him more in the long run.
It’s a great experience and gives players confidence, but I want him bulking up and getting stronger for the seasons ahead. There were three or four times tonight when he was too easily brushed off, something that’s stymied his development, and that lack of physicality is all he is missing.I don’t want him at the WC. With England, he always looks like the little lost puppy on his 1st day at doggy day care. I think he’s better off out of that environment.
