Will we win the league this season? No

Palace could, mathematically, climb all the way up to 9th place in the table. Why wouldn’t they want to try? Why wouldn’t Glasner want to finish on a high? Why wouldn’t the players want to prove their credentials to play in the final. Why wouldn’t they want to play matches to remain match fit? Why would Palace or its fans allow or want Arsenal to win league?

Lets just win our games and see

It's certainly hard to see Arsenal losing their games but this is football, you never know. Football throws up odd results.

We always say teams are already on the beach if they have nothing to play for in the league but that's not always true. Plenty have put in a good performance.

Lets not forget a fairly aimless Villa came close to scuppering our title hopes on the final day if not for a miraculous comeback. It can happen. On another day we may not have found those goals.

If it goes to the last day and we are leading, top on GD and Arsenal are 0-0 at selhurst park at 70 mins...then what?

I have a feeling someone will drop points. Could well be us.

arsenal fans, and the players, will have seen our starting 11 and got their hopes up, only to have them thoroughly crushed.

having to now wait till monday night will seem like an awfully long time to them and it will definitely play on their minds,
let alone if we happen to win on saturday.

who knows, but after a difficult season we should be proud of what guardiola has done to get us to this position.

There will be a respectable chance IF we go into the final game 2 points behind Arsenal. It may also all fall apart at Bournemouth.

As it is, Opta give City a 14.3% chance of winning the Premier League and I think that's fair. It will be around 20% if we beat Bournemouth away. Imagine had Cherki and Rodri been fit all season, and if Foden had been on his current form!

Overall, we weren't on form last night; there were so many changes, but the goal highlights will look incredible.

Its an interesting one - I agree 93:20 is tough to beat. I'd be interested in the rankings of how people rate them on a joyful index - has this been done as a thread?

Gillingham
United Semi Final
93:20
Villa 3-2
United FA Cup Final (the one we won!)
UCL Final (the one we won!)

Winning this wouldn't come close to any of those 6.
Talk about an impossible question... you could add the Stoke final too as that was the one that broke the seal.

Wrap the fa cup up and it’s been a great season and by the looks of it we blinked first at Everton which will cost us this title and with Arsenal getting given it by he premier league it will be tainted for them . They will beat Burnley and palace easily I think .

Not if we beat Bournemouth and score early v Palace. Remember the weight of history can feel heavy.

Opta put our chances at 14 % or roughly 1 in 7 and that sounds realistic. This will likely founder at Bournemouth but it's something to hope for.

Just to state the depressingly obvious, and thereby explain why i am still incandescent with rage over last Sunday.

Had VAR done their job correctly (as opposed to what they wanted to), we would currently be top, 2 games to go, Arsenal would have had to match our points, and beat our goal difference by 3 to pip us.

Think even if the do all want it (and they won't), Arsenal will still beat them. They are better and there is too much at stake. If it was us in the same position, i'd be betting the house on us, most of us would. We are coloring in what we want to see, but face it, making it interesting is the best we can now do.

The only glimmer is its at Palace should we go in to the last day 2 points behind they have to win, a draw isn’t good enough, you never know, I still think they will but it will be uncomfortable

I’ve got a sneaky suspicion this is not over, I had said from both teams having 5 games remaining that both will drop points. There’s 2 games left so let’s see. Are Arsenal capable of a comeback like we have produced in the past, we will see.
