Will we win the league this season? No

Think even if the do all want it (and they won't), Arsenal will still beat them. They are better and there is too much at stake. If it was us in the same position, i'd be betting the house on us, most of us would. We are coloring in what we want to see, but face it, making it interesting is the best we can now do.
Sure, you‘d back us in their position. And they obviously should get it done. But if they go to Palace needing to win, then they‘ll be nervy as fuck, given the expectations.
Not unlike us against QPR. At home, against a worse team. And we were flying going into the game. But we still came excruciatingly close to fucking up.
And if a side including Kompany, Tevez, Silva, Aguero etc can struggle so badly under such pressure, then an Arsenal team that isn’t playing especially well and has no real leaders certainly can as well.

I'm not saying it can't happen.

I am saying it won't happen.

But, it is indeed fun to hope, speculate, dream. That's why I too am here. But let's be honest, hopes and dreams is all they are.

Still gladly take them though, over not having any.

Who'd want to be standing alone, without a dream in one's heart.

You've got to have a dream. If you don't have a dream, then how can you have a dream come true?

They laboured their way through that game on Sunday, didn’t create much and didn’t put the game to bed with VAR having to help them out on taking the 3 points.

What’s to say there could be another situation like that for them in their last two games. City have to do their business against a very good team in Bournemouth for that to happen.

One crumb of comfort

They not winning the title like we have on home soil

Even if they win on Monday no one is presenting them with anything

They are getting it at Palace with a paltry 2500 there

I can be petty
Said the same to the lads on the way home last night, beat ballmouth, take it to the last day. And they dont win it infront on 60000 of their lot worst case.

If you said after the Arsenal game we’d score 10 goals and concede just three everyone would snap your hand off. That’s the form we’ve been in recently and it’s been really good. Unfortunately all three goals came in the same game.

Write there name in the title now, the premier lleague campaign ended at Everton. Let's just beat Chelsea.

It is said game against Bournemouth where I think we'll come unstuck. Without wanting to sound like an eternal pessimist, we struggled away to an inferior Everton side compared to Bournemouth. I just don't think this squad has the same mentality (yet), of past squads that have got us over the line. All these scenarios pale into insignificance, if we can't get past Bournemouth. As much as I obviously want Varsenal to cock it up and draw just one game and us to win ours, with the teams they have left to face though, it looks highly unlikely. I'll still be hoping for one last twist anyway.

Palace could, mathematically, climb all the way up to 9th place in the table. Why wouldn’t they want to try? Why wouldn’t Glasner want to finish on a high? Why wouldn’t the players want to prove their credentials to play in the final. Why wouldn’t they want to play matches to remain match fit? Why would Palace or its fans allow or want Arsenal to win league?
And they could also, if we're talking mathematics and numbers, lose out on £10m if they beat Arsenal. It'll be a team of kids against them on the last day, some of whom have probably never played a regulation match before. Glasner winning a trophy will be finishing on a high, which is where the entire clubs priorities will be.

It's over. But it'll still be a good season if we beat Chelsea. And we'll finish above Arsenal next season.

Rumour in the ground tonight that Arsenal pay Palace another £10 million for Eze if they win the title. Is this type of incentive legal?

It's quite standard. Helps keep the initial payments down and any "add-ons" are usually linked to something that is financially rewarding for the paying club in any case. Arsenal will benefit from winning the league so they won't mind throwing some more money at Palace for Eze if they get the job done.

I do think people are overthinking it though. It's not going to impact the manager or players when it comes to that game. Also, it's possible that we would be paying Palace more for Guehi if we win the league - that might have been in our contract for him.

I just have a sneaking feeling (maybe hope really) that Burnley do something, weather the early storm (as West ham did) Walks rolls back the years and has the game of his life and it ends in a draw. Imagine the tension if its level after half time !!! then its back on us at Bournemouth which is a very tricky game, if we come though that then its a straight shoot out on the last day. i would take that all day long obviously

After seeing Palace up close, do we think they can they give Arsenal a game? They were poor IMO, hopefully this will be Wharton’s rest however and he’ll be back for their final match of the season.

Tough to judge as we don't know what team they will put out but I imagine last league game of the season, at home. I think they'll be better than many are expecting.

Put it this way, mentally for Palace, they'd be flying high going into the European final if they managed to stop Arsenal winning the league.
