Muslim cafe/prayer room firebombed. Zero news coverage on MSM?

I can only see the headline as I blocked the anti semitic poster months ago as he has an obsession with all things Jewish and Israel. However there have been five, at least, anti semitic attacks in London in the last week and I think only one has made the news.
Let's just make this clear.

This particular poster has gone on record numerous times.

"Palestinians do not exist" "There is no such thing" 'The West bank belongs to Israel"

Weird spinoffs to Israel in this thread.
Antisemitic attacks - abhorrent.
Islamophobic attacks - abhorrent.
All hate crime - abhorrent.

Report equally. Politically deal with equally. Judicially treat equally.

It is my opinion that for far too long this has not been the case and it remains not the case, evidently.

You might want to reread what I posted. I said the poster was anti semitic not the post and sorry I only think there has been one anti semitic attack reported, there are so many these days, it's hard to keep up with what has and hasn't been reported on in the mainstream.

According to Home Office figures from March 2026 there were 106 religious hate crimes per 10,000 Jewish people, compared with 12 per 10,000 Muslim people.

In 2025 there were 3,700 antisemitic incidents recorded in the UK, the second highest on record, I doubt if more than 5% made in into mainstream media.

I think you might want to do some wobbling of your own, I am fine thanks.
I have added the detail on Islamophobic attacks in a separate post.

I will just put you on ignore but post on your comments

Yep, all attacks are abhorrent for whatever reason. Attacks that have bigoted motivations behind them, targeting a specific group, are even more so.

There’s quite clearly severe issues with antisemitism and bigotry targeting Muslims and all groups should look to eradicate all of it.

Yes, exactly that.

I read a quote somewhere recently, and I can't remember where, but it went something like this:

"Antisemite used to be a word to describe someone who hates Jews, now it's a word used to describe someone who Jews hate".

I'm not saying I agree with that, but I can see how some might think that with the way the word is banded around so freely these days.

You shouldn’t agree with it, because it’s a disgraceful quote.

It is true in politics, and in society, that rather than take on board the message, accusations of the impartiality of the messenger often seek to stifle the debate.

I don't disagree with you, but society shouldn't be in a position where people might think that.
Any individuals who think that are weapons. British Jews are being targeted in some of the most disgusting racism we’ve seen in the country. Calling out antisemitism for what it is has never been more important. The quote strikes me as an excuse to do it without being called out for it.

It is vital to call out both antisemitism and Islamaphobia. It is equally important, IMO, to not conflate criticism of political action with either: the actions of Israel and/or Iran are not the actions of British Jews or Muslims.

There should be no sliding scale when it comes to racism. It's either racist or it isn't, and racism in any form is abhorrent.

And I think this is where thinking is shifting. I sense that there is a belief, and this thread alludes to it, that some hate crime yields far more column inches than other forms, suggesting systemic racism. I am of this thought absolutely when it comes to Islamophobia and that it is condoned and allowed in much of our media.

It’s best to try and get on with life by treating people as the individuals they are and not as a group identity based on stereotypes (often false).

A British Jew is no more at fault than I am in regards to what’s happening in Gaza. A Muslim is no more at fault than I am for terror attacks or the Iranian regime.

I’m a white man of British descent, so is Donald Trump, I’m at no fault for what that **** is doing.

The finger should be pointed at the actual perpetrators, not innocent people who happen to share characteristics or a religion with the perpetrators.

BANG ON. And attacks on British Jews or Muslims because of the actions of nation states have no place.
