Watching on TV is total sh't. I hate watching City on TV. I don't do aways but when City are away, I am watching through fingers on TV, or sometimes I find another game to watch.

I think you made a faux pas with your previous comments, but we all do that. I hope that is not condescending.

It's the internet for you people interpret things how they see them. I was actually putting forward reasons people might not attend and some people thought i was saying they were the reasons i wasn't going.
Personally i don't really care none of these people psy my bills, socialise with me or even know me personally, but dure i will defend my corner too but really it's not thst important.
Like yourself i find watching on tv harder. When I'm in the ground I'm physically there, i feel i contribute by singing etcetera. Watching at home for some strange reason is more nerve wracking.

I don’t just worry about idiots on social media, sitting in a half empty atmosphere-less stadium bores the hell out of me at times if I’m being honest. It doesn’t exactly feel like a cauldron of passion when it’s like that. If I’m honest, I can understand why some people don’t go, as it’s not exactly enjoyable for midweek matches, but if we all take the same approach and stay at home then where will it end up?

Also I don’t buy the fact that it all comes down to ticket pricing and policies. Yes, that might be a factor for some, but by the same token we also have some fair weather fans who can’t be arsed going. Apologies to anyone who doesn’t like hearing that, but IMO there’s no doubt that it’s true!

Probably Brentford in the League Cup, not far off for Galatasaray, but that’s not the point really is it? Whether it’s half full or two thirds full, the point is the same, there’s no point in being pedantic about it.

It wasn't half empty, but when Pierce was our manager, there were league games I remember with less than 40,000 people in the ground.

The atmosphere at the Arsenal and Brentford games (after we scored) was very good. I have watched vlogs of other games. Spurs 'wall' doesn't seem to work to me because if is full of relatively old, and well off people. City's away fans would know better than me.

The South Stand lower has a lot of young people, and City seem to have made an effort to bring in 18-25 year olds. Don't you think City's fanbase has got younger? Young people sing, old people sit.

I agree re younger fans have always been the singers...it makes sense to have an 'end' back in the terrace days everyone had an 'end'..apart from us of course with a 'side'. I know i'll get pelters but i think we should have terraced the plat lane and made that our fortress and put the benches in the kippax...we were load in only a few games at Maine Road truth be told. A lot had to do with having a side and not an end..to 'suck the ball in'..as they say...ahhh well

I remember thinking much the same when City moved to the Etihad and when the third tier was added to the South Stand. It turns out I was thinking bollox.

I don’t think it’s mid-week matches per se that are the problem. It’s matches that were rearranged to mid-week because of Cup matches that struggle to sell. This is probably down to pricing strategy. If tickets were already sold at full prices before the rearrangement, I can understand what the reaction would be if the prices were then cut when the match was switched to mid-week.

That is only usually likely to happen a maximum of three to four times a season. In the circumstances the attendance against Palace was better than I expected given that the visiting support was understandably very low. In any event many of the empty seats were down to ‘no shows’ by season ticket holders.

I do think there should be an East Manchester (0.5 x mile radius from ground) where every household should get 2 x tickets per household = approx 6,000 free tickets each midweek game - sort of compo for the hassle of all the home games that are on there door step - maybe get a few blues coming out of it...scratching the surface but will help...(we can often accommodate 6,000 mid week)

1 tram stop, parking restrictions and a shit load of traffic puts a lot of people off.

One tram stop and pre-match traffic due to the end of the rush hour can't be avoided, however parking restrictions on non-residential streets is purely down to the actions of the anti-motoring bastards on the city council. These clowns want to get people out of their cars by making driving a pain in the arse rather than by improving public transport.
There's a freight line north of the stadium which could be upgraded for slow running passenger trains, and a simple station could be built to benefit stadium and arena customers.

Other clubs would sell out every game if they started winning trophies on a regular basis as we did in 2011.
Whether they'd still be selling out fifteen years later in an enlarged stadium with games being moved all over the place is another matter. And I doubt they'd be selling out Wembley regularly if they were based 200 miles away and visiting two or three times a season.

Had a good run on Wednesday, we park in the restricted zone, 'only' 5 1/2 hours out of the house.

If I was still working there's no way I could get to night games without using holiday leave.

That 5 1/2 hours is the best we've managed all season, sometimes it's getting towards 7 hours all-in.

Happy to be back home by midnight on Wednesday night. Really enjoyed the game.

I know this is asking too much but if some our fans weren’t so miserable, they would help us attract the next generation of Blues. Especially from next season when more season cards will be available to families.

Still plenty for City to improve on including the stewarding.
