BBC and United reach a new low (FA Youth Cup related - City champions)

I’m not really a fan of a one-off final with home advantage decided by a draw. For the sake of fairness, two legged is much better.

But having said that, those are the rules that clubs sign up to. If you get drawn at home in the final, you get all the benefits that brings. If last night had been at the swamp, it all would have been a horrible rag-fest and we’d have had to grin and bear it.

If Carrick or anyone else from that lot isn’t happy about it they need to stay low key, go through the correct channels and speak to whoever deals with this at the FA. A public moaning binge straight after the final is very poor, though not surprising.

Edit: I meant Fletcher not Carrick. But they’re all cut from the same cloth.
They are amazing. By Fletcher’s logic, every time they are drawn away in a cup, the other team should cede the advantage for the honour of playing at the swamp. Presumably also all 8 group games in the CL should be there. Thick entitled tosser.

I enjoyed the TNT comms last night praising the 'travelling fans'.
Mike Minay on commentary seemed to have a glowing biography to hand of every single United player. Yet not so much to say about the eventual winners...
I wonder if United supplied him with all that info and our comms dept missed a trick?

That said, given he was at pains (after the game) to point out how "United's players will only learn from this experience", I suspect he had decided who his aidience was and played to them.

I thought the same on all points, although I didn't know his name. I assume he will be 3rd tier of TNT comms choices.

Whether it was his choice or TNT diktat would be interesting to know.

I thought that the pitchside stuff had Robbie Savage being asked questions focussed on MU, but he was pretty clear in his opinions that City were better and was pretty effusive about some of the play.

One of them said he was a personal friend of Fletcher . And someone said Rags played very well after they went two one down ...oh , for at least five minutes then .
