EFL Playoffs time

Middlesbrough coming out and demanding Southampton are thrown out of the playoffs.

How does that work legally? Are they trying to put pressure on the panel that decide?
There's no way that's will happen. Probably a £2m fine or something like that. Leeds only got fined £200k so they can't go from that to being so draconian.

??????

I must have watched a completely different 200 mins of the 2 ties then. Wanderers controlled both legs with Bradford having a decent 15 mins last night in the second half when they threw the kitchen sink as they had to in front of their own crowd.

The Bolton keeper only had to make one big save in the two ties and Bradford scored how many?

Bolton play too much football for that level and Stockport will probably over power them.
Flick side is our Keepers only work was to pick the ball out twice over the 2 legs he had nothing to really do .............but fair credit to them they did deserve it over the two legs ............

The Quays will be handy tonight for parking up their trawlers!

;-)
It would be if they played anywhere near the quays.
Grimsby fans currently doing what the rest do: Enjoying a few scoops in Prestwich and walking, bussing or taxiing to the pub-free zone where Salford play. Nearest pub to the ground was closed 20+ years ago and the next closest (Fairways Lodge which was across a muddy field) closed a few years back and has already been reduced to rubble.

I wasn't being entirely serious, hence the ;-) on the bottom of my post.

Can't imagine there's that many of the 92 professional clubs' stadia that don't have a watering hole within walking (staggering?) distance. We were spoiled at Maine Road.

If you prefer play-off football on easy to get channels, or just like deep-fried football, BBC Scotland has Partick v Dunfermline (1-1 from 1st leg) and BBC Alba has Hamilton v Clyde, also 1-1 from 1st leg.
Something weird about the second game as clubs have swapped grounds or something.

Re the Hamilton vs Clyde game, each club uses the other's ground as their "home" stadium. Which means that they'll play their "away" leg at their home stadium. Which begs the question; if each stadium is fit to host games, why don't each team use their home stadium? I'm probably missing something here.

Photographic evidence though this time round. Clear and damning.

Also other clubs in the EFL reckon they have bits on Southampton doing it to them.

I think Southampton should be worried personally.

There's no precedent to look to to guess what the sanction may be.

It could be a small fine or it could be expulsion from the play offs.

If it had been in the league, I guess there’d be a fine and a 3-0 forfeit of the game, but that can’t really be done now having played out the second leg at 0-0.

My gut suggests they’ll get a hefty fine and if they go up, sued by Middlesbrough for potential loss of earnings. All depends on the evidence you mentioned. If it’s multiple times, it could be expulsion.

I saw that and wondered what it was all about. The only thing i could come up with is, if they share each others ground and one of them is out of action say due to weather, they'd still have somewhere to play

Yet the scousers only got fined 1m for hacking into our scouting network
Can you please report this properly. They always denied any involvement in this episode but gave us the £1m as “a goodwill gesture”.

In another, similar example, we all know the member of the royal family, formally known as Prince Andrew, never met that young American girl - despite (obviously photoshopped) photos of them together. The fact his mum gave her £10 million doesn’t indicate any quilt whatsoever.

I believe Liverpool and Randy Andy we’re both victims of a rampant media slur and both should not only be given their money back, but awarded damages to reputation on top….

Come on Grimsby, make it the 2nd lot of red cunts that play out of Manchester you’ve knocked out this season.

Either way the crowd is piss poor, possibly because it's nowhere near either Hamilton or Clyde's traditional support.
Three-sided ground with one stand closed and another half open but only about half full.
Clyde just equalised to make it 3-3 (4-4 agg).
