A disgraceful undermining of the Ticket Points system - again

Do you actually know how many fans fans have bought Platinum over the years compared to those who stuck with Gold STs?
I always have Platinum which is how I got to see high demand away games, such as Bournemouth, Burton and Newport for many years.
When I was on City Matters, there were about 12/13k who had Platinum, so about a third of all ST holders. I suspect some have given it up but, at worst, it's probably around 10k.

You would be dragged out of the queue and probably complain of anxiety and depression due to to "trauma" being a weak southerner who really supports Charlton.
I’m a born and bred Manc who’s adopted Charlton as my little club since moving to the south east to seek my fortune. I don’t tend to have to spend time in queues, or even paying for things - it’s about who you know ;)

You’re right that I’m very very soft but again it doesn’t matter, it’s about who you know if something or someone needs sorting out.

No use moaning about platinum, all season members got a chance, including myself to join.
I went gold but have never moaned about platinum once.

So, to summarise there are three entirely separate issues here....

1) The allocations of tickets to supporters clubs isn't transparent (even at a high level), and the debate about why Port Stanley Blues receive an allocation of tickets whilst (say) Gorton Blues don't is created, perhaps out of ignorance of the facts.
2) The allocation of tickets within a SC - I know the one I am a member of is very fair, and make sure tickets are shared around and fairly allocated, but allegations of mates and non-fans getting tickets is created, perhaps out of ignorance of the facts.
3) The way the club allowed SCs first access to tickets. This is only an issue due to the pricing structure, effectively giving us two separate allocations - an "affordable" allocation and a "luxury " allocation which many blues can't afford.

Up to club to look at point 1 and point 3 (which won't have crossed their mind I suspect)
Up to SCs to police themselves on point 2. No way the club will be ultimately bothered.

That argument could be made for everything. Every fan has the opportunity to join a an OSC or to go corporate also.

But the point is if you want fairness and want to complain don’t just moan about the unfair system you’re not part of but also the unfair systems you benefit from (not aimed at you by the way).

Buzzing with the result and had a top day but if that atmosphere is your special singing section filled with day trippers from the supporters clubs then the injustice ain’t worth the fucking squeeze lads.
I sang from start to finish. What about plastic day trippers like you. Filth who can’t enjoy us winning a cup double.

I don’t have enough points and I don’t subscribe to anything. But I’ve been to Wembley loads of times. Just by waiting for them to come available. I typically attend 6-8 games a year. I live in London so can’t commit to more. I love city. It’s in my blood. I went today. Never ever had a problem getting tickets. I guess my point is, I wouldn’t bother with any schemes. Of course I don’t get to go to every final. Didn’t get Istanbul for instance.

That’s how I see it too mate. Rag or Dipper
Bollocks mate, had a great time but from the third tier towards half way line, they were louder than us and I thought we were pretty poor. Sung my heart out all game.

Perhaps should have waited a couple days to raise what I still think is a valid point and albeit a bit snarky in my messaging so have deleted.

Come on city, great result. Forget I said anything.

You just don't say that when you win the fa cup.
Have noticed his posts are just a load of shite, the kind of stuff these red mardarses come out with whenever city is mentioned.
Enjoy the night mate, super fuckin city.
Spot on mate. Loving this season btw. Two great Cup wins.

Everyone I saw at the game yesterday were Blues. That’s good enough for me.

Great time up in the gods 533 row 30 standing.
So good will definitely go back again.
A bargain for £50.
They are cracking safe standing places. I go for them every time. Plus I go there and back on the coach each time for affordable trips.

Wouldn’t have missed the tributes to Stones and Silva for the world.

I was in 538 along with my daughter, what did surprise me yesterday were the numbers of youngsters in that block . Obviously came with parent(s)/ grandparents, but good to see. Again I'd endorse the view up there, really good

Front of the third tier 537 and only heard Chelsea a few times. I actually made a note the first time was about 39 minutes. When they were on top a bit 2nd half I could hear them, but only one or two different songs.
Around us lots of singing but came from different directions and petered out sometimes. BUT, where we were sat, City sang more and were louder. A few times, especially the Johnny Stones, was epic.
