Trophy Parade in Manchester | Mon 25th May

It's a good job I've got that tin hat on. I remember pissing myself when liverpool did a parade for the fa and league cup double in 2022. I worry that what we've achieved, as great as it is, will not be enough to line the streets from town to the Etihad and fill the coop arena. It feels like we're setting ourselves up for a fail.
I think its a wonderful opportunity for kids & parents to get a close up glimpse of their heroes & to appreciate their acheivements whilst dreaming about what they might be in the years to come. I think it can have an amazing effect on youngsters who probably wont go as its on late or cant afford a ticket to the party later on but can join in from a place only minutes from their homes....bring it on.

Does sound more like a Pep goodbye than a parade for the 2 cups, especially with the thing at the co-op

To mark the achievements of Manchester City men's, women's and academy teams during the 25/26 season, we can confirm that an open top bus parade will take place on Monday 25 May, followed by 'The After Party' a special celebration event at Co-op Live.

With build up starting in the City's Northern Quarter from 16:00 (UK), there will be a kick-off moment with all teams at the beginning of the parade before buses travel through Ancoats and on to Ashton New Road. The parade will then come to a close with a final celebratory moment outside the Etihad Stadium at The Colin Bell Stand Reception.

'The After Party' is a special separate event which will take place at the Co-op Live, the UK's flagship live entertainment area, after the parade.

With live music, entertainment, player interviews from both men's and women's teams and special guests it's sure to be an evening to remember!

Fans can join the celebrations along various points of the parade route to show their support or can purchase tickets for the event at Co-op Live. The full parade will also be shown inside the venue for those attending Co-op Live.

Tickets for 'The After Party' are priced from £12 for adults, with other ticketing categories available. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis, giving preference to men's and women's Season Ticket Members (GA and Hospitality) and Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members,

Anymore caveats? Have to of attended Wembley for both finals?

It’s not just the men’s team though is it. Apparently the women’s team and youth cup winners will have their own bus too.

Tin hat on but I think we're at a stage now where we should only do this sort of stuff for league title wins and champions league wins.
You're lookin at three, possibly four trophies (maybe five with the youth trophy too) on board the open top buses, so you can understand why the club would want to show them off ... and try stoppin' the women celebrating !

I'd advise any rags to avoid the area , they won't like City showing off all that silverware !

We are at that stage. It is very very obvious this is because Pep is leaving and it’s a celebration / send off for him as well as the 2 domestic cups. From the clubs perspective if we win the league great and the parade is already booked. If we don’t they’ve pre given people notice of the send off they want for Pep and framed it as this. They won’t announce it until we are mathematically out of the title race and Pep will want Stones and Bernardo to get their flowers whereas if it’s announced he’s off it will completely overshadow it.

Think the parade will be rather sparse.
Route isn't the best with it not being in town.
(Probably) no league or champions league to celebrate.
Lots who would have been on the streets for the parade will be inside the co op.

Not for me. Let the lads get off on their deserved (short World Cup) break.
Mind you if we win the league, invite Jack back, and have a fuckin’ paaaarty!!

It’s ending up at the co-op arena there so many little signs that points to pep leaving! Maybe I’ve beens drawn into the media hype train of peps going!
What would be a suitable venue for it to then not mean Pep's leaving?
