Eurovision 2026

The BBC pay between £1.2 & £1.5 mil for that crap. Year after year we are a laughing stock with our entry, and when we do manage something half decent we don’t get any votes. Really is time the money is spent on something else, and it goes pay per view for those who want to watch.

Still the greatest. Smashed the Eurovision bubble, broke records, left a lasting legacy that we were even reminded of tonight.

2022 Sam Ryder "Space Man" 2nd 466 pts.

You're an idiot.

When you consider the musical talent in this country is second to none, we don't really need to lower and embarrassed ourselves with this shite, but we do...

The traditional circle of the Eurovision thread takes it's usual path of post event comments from a load of people (who didn't even see any of it) saying it's not worth the money, they (Europe) don't like us etc etc.

Like it or not but last year more people watched Eurovision than the Fa cup final. I don't think many people would consider the FA cup final being on the BBC a waste of money?

And secondly if we enter dogshite entries year after year then we get what we deserve i.e last place once again. As mentioned above Sam Ryder got 400+ points just a few years back because it was a damn good Eurovision song. You can't just forget this year happened because it doesn't fit the narrative of they don't like us.

We did fine the year we actually had a song that wasn't complete fucking dogshit

I never watch that pile of utter shite.

We could put Ed Sheran in with a truly great song and he wouldn’t win.

The rest of Europe just don’t like us, so fuck them.
Sam Ryders effort in 2022 actually won the judges vote with numerous 12 points. It lost to Ukraine's effort by the public vote who had just been invaded by Russia a few months earlier.

Most agree "Space Man" was by far and away the best entry that year. it's not that Europe hates the UK, they hate shit efforts like "eins, zwei, drei"
