I don’t watch the semis and try to go in listening to each song for the first time in the final.I've a theory that the beeb select absolute no hopers to represent the UK, because they don't want the UK to win. That way we don't have to host it. The last time that the UK hosted the event it cost about £25M, with much of the funding coming from the BBC itself.
It doesn't bother me, because I packed in watching it about 10 years ago because of the political voting, and how bloated the whole thing had become.

Personally, I’d ban all period dramas, but I get by by not watching any of them.
Pretty similar. I got sick of talent shows a long while ago.I'm the same just watch the final if I'm free. I don't watch BGT, X Factor, the spinning chair one etc. I like Eurovision partly because it is so concise. 25+ usually quite distinct performances in what 4 hours including the vote counting.
It's nothing compared to a whole series of the shows I've mentioned above and I'm sure there's more variety of the musical kind in Eurovision as well.
Yeah I understand that lot's of people enjoy it. One of my sister's has friends round, plus her kids and their partners, and they all give each act mark's out of 20, and then tally up the scores at the end.
