Pep is averaging one trophy per 30 games during his City tenure.good day today
City winning a trophy, Pep confirming that he will stay
but 20 trophies in 10 years. averaging a double per season. lol
Your post seems to suggest that Pep is shite but I will take all of the trophies he's brought . It will never be better when he leaves.Yes . I think now is as good a time as any. He'd be going out on a high , there's a small chance the season might get even better still .If that happens what would there be left for him to achieve her. His legend has long been secured. If he stays it would only be for one more year anyway. There are only the odd glimpses of the exciting football we once played now , too often we revert to the slow build up which if I'm honest bores me . If we are ever to get the best out of Haaland again then we need to change our style which Pep seems to be reluctant to do.
Anyway that's all for another day. Tonight is to celebrate another trophy under him.
Your bluntness made me laugh then.then why don't you just fuck off.
He has said that he will see out his contract.I actually feel Pep will stay until at least next year. I think he will want to oversee the rebuild of this team and I think some of the missing pieces will be got this summer for him to shape. I also think he will like to have another crack at winning Old Big Ears again. Just my thoughts.
my powers of reasoned argument failed me, haha.Your bluntness made me laugh then.
Never have I said that anywhere. He's been fantastic and the trophy haul will never be repeated. I just believe it's time forYour post seems to suggest that Pep is shite but I will take all of the trophies he's brought . It will never be better when he leaves.
You'll get abuse but you are correct on all of that imo.Yes . I think now is as good a time as any. There is no evidence at all that he is leaving this summer, he could I suppose, but evidence none at all.Remember when he became our manager and Sorino said we want to average 2 trophies a season and everyone thought that is mad standard! Guess what he has!
Oh and I’ve listened to all pep post press conferences and a few players, plus the parade the co-op event and rushing to get the new stand open! That is enough evidence for me to say he is going and if we dont get the win Tuesday he will announce it then!
Entitled to your opinion but mentality can surely not be called into question. We've dragged ourselves into the last week of a title race we didn't really have any business being in, won two cups and are currently on a run of 9 wins in 10 including two finals, all while integrating lots of new players. imo the mentality to compete has been top and it's this that I think we'll miss most of all when he does go.You'll get abuse but you are correct on all of that imo.
Now is the time to celebrate.
Pep deserves great praise and appreciation.
Our football at times is not good.
Pep needs to fix our tactics/style of play/mentality or whatever it is ... somehow.
If he can't hopefully someone else can.
Trophies are great but trophies plus genuinely impressive play is ideal.
Marmoush had 10 touches in that first half. We were playing with 10 menWe didn't get any better with Cherki coming on for Marmoush, in fact we were worse and we couldn't keep the ball in the first 20 minutes of the second half , only when Kova came on did we control the game.
Tbf I think a lot of the actual football has become boring. Not because of Pep or City but because of so many teams willingness to park the bus as well as the refereeing of the game allowing for all the dark arts bullshit. Champions Leagues games nowadays tend to be far more interesting because they're refereed differently.my powers of reasoned argument failed me, haha.
i mean, imagine being bored watching probably the most successful team on the planet right now...
doku one-on-one, everyone's up out of their seats = boring!
haaland scores another hat-trick = seen loads of them, boring!
cup double? = boring!
cherki weaving some sort of unfathomable sorcery = boring!
come back stuart pearce, all is forgiven !
Ya I can't put my finger on what is the missing element. I only said mentally because I wonder if there are times when the players just need to go beyond Pep's tactics and step up in terms of creating effective attacks. Cherki seems to have this. Yaya used to.Entitled to your opinion but mentality can surely not be called into question.
