1 | James Trafford - 2025/26

Did nothing wrong. Hopefully he feels two cup final clean sheets and 2 trophies makes up for him being done over.

His distribution was solid, some people fixate on the actual pass and ignore the decision making which is the most important thing. Rarely did he play the ball to somebody who didn't have an option, this is what separates him from donnarumma in that department, both can play the simple pass, that isn't in question but gigi will often wait too long and give the ball to somebody who cannot do anything with it and has to launch it,Trafford is much more like Ederson in that regard, distributes it at the right time to the open man, it's the decision making and the timing that make all the difference.

Can't exactly say he had a bad game with a clean sheet, but the supposed elite distribution went missing and the fuck up that resulted in a corner could have been done without. But that being said, I've always stood by the idea that he's still a project in some sense so I'm not too mad.

Will be a shame to see him go but it is what it is. He should be a 1st team player somewhere.

When keepers fuck up it’s usually catastrophic, see Donna v Arse!
It’s how they recover from it, that’s the real test.
And this lad has the ability to be right up there with the very best.

Yeah absolutely. Hopefully he will go on to be a great keeper, and like I said, can't get mad at a clean sheet in a final. If Eddie was still here instead of Gigi it would have been a different story, but football is just like that sometimes. Not sure Alvarez would have signed in 2021 if he knew Haaland was coming the next year.

?? Barely had anything to do. I can’t think of many things he did wrong
There was a good handful of balls over the top he stayed glued to his line for no reason, put us under pressure.

No saves to make sure but no matter the position you get judged on your overall game. If that's Donnarumma, it gets more than a mention in my opinion.

If Maresca comes in then surely Trafford is number one. He was so strict about playing out from the back at Chelsea that Donnarumma has no chance.
