2026 Community Shield | Millennium Stadium | Sun 16th Aug, 3pm

Concert at Wembley. We have never played at the Millennium. I think that is a big draw for sales. Its not as big either. A change is as good as a rest is my view.
We played TNS in 2003 at Millennium, very eerie, big stadium with not many of us there

Let's see how many arsenal fans turn up for a game not in London, we will play them even if we win the league as they finished second.

Went v TNS and it was probably the most pissed I’ve been at a football match. As such Im looking forward to going back but hopefully a bit less pissed this time!

What will the allocation be like? Holds just under 75000 so I would assume around 30000 tickets? Wonder if Arsenal will sell many? Think we will just about sell out.
Allocation at the last couple of Wembley Community Shields we’ve played has been 31,500

Lower capacity at Cardiff could mean it’s fewer this time. But there may be not be the same demand for corporate and various other hangers-on with it being away from London so allocation may end up being not too different.

Just a thought why don't they hold it at the ground of one of the two teams?
That worked fine for decades up to the 1970s. Main reason it was changed was to raise more money from bigger attendances at Wembley.

It can’t happen now as long as the Community Shield is one of the included events for Club Wembley memberships. The FA can only currently move it from Wembley when circumstances dictate it can’t be played there.

Good that lots of Blues seem to be up for this one.
If it was back at wembley, demand for tickets I suspect would be a hard sell due to the many visits in recent years and it being basically a friendly.
This one being in Cardiff, which having worked there, is a great lively City.
Got a good feeling we'll take big numbers.

Not many, tends to be West London, Surrey and former Middlesex.
Hi Corky what do you mean former Middlesex.Just to let you know Middlesex is still a county and on Saturday when you won the cup was Middlesex Day.It was also celebrated by the government at the Houses of Parliament.
Cheers James

From and County Council/Local Government point of view and even a ceremonial county it doesn't exist as you probably know. The day was made up a long time after.

Oh yes we have! Given 200,000 fans were at York away, those of us who travelled for this TNS game are the real hardcore.

I was there for this game. 6 hour coach trip each way and It was so incredibly boring we went back to wetherspoons at half time.

Got back in 3 hours for that one 200 miles, was good going.

Quite a few went here too as we had a former player with a similar name who had just left.

Went the A449, A40, M50 way which may have been better by the sounds of it.
