Any fa cup win should be celebrated with a parade, one of my dad's first memories he told me about was the 1969 parade

Lots who would have been on the streets for the parade will be inside the co op.

It's probably got more chance of attracting a good crowd on a bank holiday though than on most other days ....

... whilst the rags have got to suck it up again and watch from behind their sofas and tell us all on social media how nobody turned up and they had more at the Nags Head with Boylies DJ set for the Brunoooooooo's Assist record party.

Lol, it's hard to stop the deluded rags and their fabricated fairy stories, their motto is if they weren't actually there, they can always guess what it was like !

Weird timing if they are having the Women on the parade aswell. They don't play the FA Cup Final until the 31st, why not wait until that?

I’ll be there, making the arduous journey from Ashton. What’s not too like? Couple of drinks before then a Ruby afterwards, bit of a late one but for us FOC’s it’s followed by Bank Holiday Tuesday, happy days.

We've no history.

Went to a talk by @Gary James once that mentioned the 1904 parade was a big one and was a catalyst for football becoming big in Manchester.

Those FA Cup final celebrations may have stopped us winning the double that season as we went to Everton the very next day after the final, where a win would have won us the league, but we lost (as I bet we were still drunk!).

I'm really pleased there is going to be a trophy parade this season.
OK, it hasn't been a truly stellar season, such as the 4-in-a-row or the Continental Treble season, but it started out as a transition season without too many expectations. However, the new team has really come together in the past 4 months and we have ended up with 2 major trophies and will likely just miss out on the PL too.
So it has been a very significant season, as we now have a team that will really be challenging for the PL & CL next season. So IMO a parade is well deserved, and especially great for the new players - they have shown this season they are winners and experiencing the thrill of a parade will only make them want to repeat the experience in seasons to come.

I’ve never been happy with the Monday night, working day, parades.

It really doesn’t give the chance for the fans to get into town, to relax, have a drink, and to enjoy the day.

The fans now have all day to enjoy the parade and the event.

Sunny bank holiday, I think you’re going to be surprised. If it was a working Monday in the rain I think numbers would be poor but not when it’s something to do in the sunshine when everyone is off work.
