Trophy Parade in Manchester | Mon 25th May

You never know when your last trophy will be 1976 - 2011 was a long time to wait.
Absolutely right. When I interviewed Malcolm Allison in early 1990s he said 'Celebrate every success as if it's your first because it could be your last' - Malcolm never thought his last major trophy at City would be in 1970. He managed City to the Charity Shield in 1972 but it sounded like he didn't really celebrate it as he would've done if he'd known it would be his last City trophy.

I celebrate every day of our success. It will end. I enjoyed yesterday more than ever.

Always managed to get to our parades since 2011, although being on a work day they've not always been easy to attend.
This one being on a bank holiday should make things easier for many.
The club are saying we can't get in the arena after 5pm and that's when the parade is due to start.
Don't see why they can't extend that time limit till 6pm and give the fans going to the arena a chance to at least see some of the parade.
Six of us will be going and would like to see at least some of the parade as we plan on going to the arena.
The players expected to be at the arena for 6.30pm, odds on they'll be later than that.

I’m going to do what I did for 2012. A couple of hours in moon under the water, then onto the mitre before establishing my spot to thank the club as the buses go by.

Meant to be 25 degrees and pure sun. It’s going to be amazing and anyone criticising it must lead the most saddest of lives.
You might want to check the route for this one, you won’t see a thing from there!

It’s a chance to celebrate the men’s, women’s and youth successes as one club.

It’s going to be sunny and it’s a bank holiday. There’s some huge personalities leaving the club and a great way to say bye to them.

What’s with all the moaning? Whether we have over 250,000 there like the Treble parade, or 70,000 there like one of the lesser ones, it doesn’t matter. Sad wankers on the internet who are bitter about City will screenshot a gap in the crowd and pretend the entire parade was like that irrespective of how many go.
People are so unhealthy bothered what some scrote scouser, rag or cockney keyboard warrior thinks about how many people will be there. They’ll be plenty enough to make it worth while

did you know that the canary islands are not named after birds,
but after dogs?

canariae insulae = latin for the island of dogs

same derivative as canine.
Yes, I’ve heard that before.

Canis Major - the greater dog constellation, part of which is Sirius, the Dog Star.

Per the city app:

"Final entry to the co-op live is 5pm, fans will not be able to attend both the parade and the event"

Bit of a shame

I stopped caring when I noticed how many will just openly lie online to try and have a dig.

I’ve seen claims we only had 30,000 at the Treble one when it was 10x that, for example. People just lie about everything when it comes to football, I couldn’t give a fuck.

It's a good job I've got that tin hat on. I remember pissing myself when liverpool did a parade for the fa and league cup double in 2022. I worry that what we've achieved, as great as it is, will not be enough to line the streets from town to the Etihad and fill the coop arena. It feels like we're setting ourselves up for a fail.
True, but this is the first week have had that's not been on a normal work day, with it being a bank holiday I can see it being well attended.

Tin hat on but I think we're at a stage now where we should only do this sort of stuff for league title wins and champions league wins.
Ok, so we win the league next Sunday then what?

These things need planning with I expect a weeks notice minimum for road closures etc.

Regardless, we have won both domestic cups, FA youth cup, WSL and possibly a double.

It's a great season for the Club.

Sounds a bit like Piers Morgan who has suddenly decided only PL and CL are relevant.
Fucking ironic seems how his lot have never won one and the other was 20 years ago!
