Pep to leave at the end of the season

He’s going. Maresca for a year, maybe two. Will win nothing, paving the way for Vinny to take over.

No one wants to follow pep.

Pep won't change a habit of a lifetime by announcing it last minute. If he was leaving it would have been officially announced by now, regardless of us being in a title challenge or not.

If Arsenal win the league as expected i think Pep will give it one more go for the title next season.
Hopefully he'll walk off into the sunset with 7 under his belt

This is my hope.

He'll want a proper send off thats been planned for months.

I don't think Pep will give a shit about a send off, but the club would want to give him a big one.

For me it's as simple as the fact there's a World Cup which prevents a new manager having time to prepare the squad this summer. It doesn't make sense from a strategic perspective and the club will have seen from other sides how critical it is to give someone the time to come in and work with a squad to move forwards.

Pep won't leave us at a time that doesn't suit us too. He's got a year left and I hope he extends.

I’ve posted it before, and I’ve had a few rebukes by fellow forum members, but I sincerely hope City name the new and expanded North stand the Guardiola stand. What that man has done for this club is unbelievable, and will never be matched by another City manager. 20 trophies in 10 years. With all due respect to Joe Mercer. If Joe has had the main stand named after him, Pep should have the new City home end named after him.

Sam Lee is 100% sure he's leaving with Maresca the replacement he's spent weeks writing the article and repeats it in every LMT podcast He flew to Bilbao to speak to Laporte on Friday for material He said in todays pod that the players dont know seems strange that he knows but not Pep's players

True that Vinny might be a candidate in the future but personally not sure about ex-players going back to clubs as manager - theres too many ties or biases and emotion. There are some that work out - guardiola at barca, but plenty that dont

But irrelevant at the moment as I dont think Pep is leaving this year

It's the shittest time. Wait 4 years to try qualify. 4 years for a chance at 1 trophy. This for a man that just challenged for every single one of 70 trophies in the last decade.
I unfortunately think it’s perfect timing for Pep. First you have Euro 2028 in the UK & Ireland, with group games in Manchester and the final at Wembley, then the 2030 World Cup in Spain with the final at Camp Nou. The logical step would probably be for him to take over the Spanish national team. So he’d have the chance to add both a Euros and a World Cup to his list of titles — and potentially win them both on what are essentially his home grounds.

I don't think Maresca is not going to win anything, the squad is set up fully to dominate this league. From defence to attack, the midfield will be sorted in the summer and even if Pep leaves the culture of the club is that of winning I don't think that culture vanishes when Pep leaves.

Maresca has won trophies and beaten some world class managers in doing so. If Pep leaves the squad Maresca will inherit is young hungry squad with sprinkle of world class. A squad built for his tactics and not just thrown together like at Chelsea and even then when he had his best eleven available success followed.

Maresca style is similar to Pep but he's still an old school Italian at heart 90 percent defence, 10 percent attack. Maresca similar to Pep has been under some world class managers especially italian which is an inspiration in his tactics. Sacchi , Ancelotti, Lippi.

I didn't want Maresca but reading more into him I can understand why he's been picked. He's from the school of Pep, Sacchi and Cruyff
