Will we win the league this season? No

Glasner saying he's going full strength on Sunday.

Gives us some hope.

We've none tonight at all. 4-0 or 5-0
Yeah I'll not be watching tonight, just keeping an eye on the score.

If it's tight or one goal in it around 80 mins I'll catch the end.

Realistically although mad shit can happen it's going to be all on next Sunday as long as we get a result on Tuesday.

Implied probability for PL winner from betting odds on Betfair exchange (Arse 1/4 and City 4/1) is City 20% chance and Arsenal 80% which seems about right to me. But I remain hopeful with a 4/1 shot - they come in regularly!

We've not lost a domestic game for 4 months when we went down to the rags in probably the worst performance of the season. But Arsenal drew against Forest later in the day meaning the lead was "just" 7 points from the same number of games and not 9 points.

Since the loss to United we've played 21 times in domestic comps for a record of W17 D4 L0. That includes 8 wins out of 8 against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle - all of whom made at least the last 16 of the Champions League. We scored 20 and conceded just 4 in those big games.

In big picture terms and with that record over the last 4 months our form has been fantastic and simply we are the best team in the league right now. As shit and disappointing as the draws have been after taking the lead (particularly Spurs for me) I'm not one to dwell on "if only" - it's football and shit/randomness happens.

However, there is one thing that is often fogotten in any appraisal of the season and that is we lost 2 of the first 3 to Spurs and Brighton. They were effectively pre-season games and we were totally undercooked. Even Pep made the point before the season started that it would be very difficult from a fitness perspective until the 1st internalional break.

Let's hope this is a week to remember. For winning a treble...

Vast majority of Arsenal fans would top themselves, that is for certain. There's no way they are fucking this up. It will be the biggest bottle job in the history of the prem.
Got my stag do this weekend and have an Arsenal fan as one of my groomsmen. We're heading out to watch the final day as a big group and not to sound too Keegan, but I would love it if we beat them to it and see him upset whilst surrounded by blues.

It might be the idiot in me but i still have the feeling of destiny to win everything we're still playing for at this point in the season, same as other years. Theres just the league to go, come on city - just 2 wins and lets see what the other team do

The recent Everton, West Ham and Forest draws are what stopped us winning the league
In recent seasons quite a few of our 8 draws would have been wins and we'd be more or less over the line now. That Everton one was was a stinker just when we were looking sharp, but lets get to Sunday and see what happens.

Lots has been said of the sub plots before the final games. Palace making money if Arsenal win the league, or resting players because of the Conference final. Bournemouth need one more point for European football, but if Villa finish 5th and win the Europa League they'd be in the CL with a 6th place finish. So is it in their interests to lose to us tomorrow night so we go all out to beat Villa on the final day? Back themselves to get the 1pt they need away at Forest instead.

Probably a load of nonsense so thought it worth posting in here.

Or if they beat us and then beat forest, they could pip Liverpool to 5th and gurantee CL football.

But I do like your version more.

It's just a shame Villa's final is after we play them rather than before. I'd say it's more likely Villa win and finish 5th than Bournemouth finish above the dippers...but Bournemouth will look to get the point they need tomorrow. Last home game for Iraola, they'll be up for it.

I think one thing in our favour is the fact they've had such a long time off. It's hard to get going again with only a couple of games to go. We saw at Everton how that rest was actually a curse rather than a blessing - we lacked intensity and a few had lost the form they were in before it.

The Europa League Final is in Istanbul 4 day before we play them. I hope Villa win and spend the next couple of days celebrating but it only matters if we beat Bournemouth. I like that Bournemouth have to beat us to get 5th. It will make the game easier imo. And if we take the lead, then we can get goals. I am not very confident about the Bournemouth game because of the FA Cup recovery time.

If Arsenal somehow slip up tonight, I won’t be able to concentrate at all at work tomorrow

Be utterly shitting myself for Bournemouth

I was talking about Bournemouth. If the final was before we played Bournemouth and Villa won it, Bournemouth would know Villa finishing 5th would secure them CL football if they finished 6th. They've therefore want us to beat Villa final day, so Liverpool possibly moved above them so might want to lose to us so we go into that game with something at stake.

These qualifying rules are a joke because it's creating potential scenarios where teams are possibly better off not winning!

Not turned out that way this season, but could do in the future.
