Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

The Declan Rice deal is probably a lesson here. Anderson has a much higher ceiling than that, so I think we'll be willing to go over £100m if necessary. He's going to be a top player and City know it.

I agree FWIW. I think it will go over £100m. Forest generally get top prices when selling players and they seem to be getting a bit of a Manchester auction going. Forest might need to bring a bit of money in for PSR but can likely sort that by selling a couple of lesser players like Ndoye. going forwards PSR looks like it’s being watered down so I think both Manc clubs will have the money.

United will definitely get involved, but I think he’ll end up at City for 7 figures. Elliot will see it as the best place to win trophies and Forest have had good transfer relationships with City recently, but bad experiences with United on Henderson and Garner.

We shall see if I’m right - will be an interesting few weeks

I think Andersons people would be naive to not at least listen to the rags offer to be honest, especially if there is doubts over Peps immediate and long term future

If Anderson believes that he would be better signing for the rags, irrespective of Pep's position, I would think that merely demonstrates that he is nowhere near being the signing and player we hope he will prove to be.

If he cannot see what a clusterfuck and badly run club, the rags really are. then his judgement is totally skewed and unprofessional.

The morons somehow manage to bring in unbelievable income, entirely due to the most professional PR exploitation and bullshit possible.

I refuse to believe that Anderson is that naive, blinkered and stupid.

Cunts like Cunha are their type of player , oh and Mbueno !

Meadowlark Mbuemo?

There will be no Manchester auction. If we get him it will be at a fair price.
Anderson will have the final say.

Don’t think fairness is anything to do with it; it’s just about what price gets the deal done. I think all things considered that price will get to nine figures but who knows.

I certainly think he’ll leave Forest, sadly for us, but he’s a credit to himself and the club, so he’ll go with our best wishes.

I wonder whether — very, very privately — the player or the player's agent raises the question of whether the 115 is close to a resolution. I mean, any player coming to City, but especially at this point, and especially a top player. It surely can't be far off. They might think it was a bit too uppity to raise the question, or just be rebuffed by City in bringing it up, but it must be in their minds a bit.

He will go with my best wishes as long as it's not to rags or dippers. Think he is too bright to join either of those 2. They must be the most toxic dressing rooms in the prem when things go wrong they spit their dummies out and throw team mates under the bus. Those 2 clubs are about the individual and not the collective. Even when City had that horrendous spell they gave the impression what can we do better not like the recent Salah outburst giving the impression I'm the highest paid player so it's got to be everyone else's fault.

Hope Maresca doesn't veto this for the sake of going after his favourite, Enzo Fernandez.

Admittedly, I doubt he has that influence but still.

You mean 9 figures?
