I'd only take Enrique as a replacement anyone else including Vinny is a significant downgrade in my eyes.

The plan should be Enrique on 2/3 year contract, then Kompany.

Maresca is not even in work which speaks volumes. His departure at Chelsea wasn't particularly dignified.

Does the club want a hothead in charge in similar vein to Conte or Tuchel? I think not.

Maresca is literally a knock off version of Pep, Chelsea fans pissing themselves

and you're one of them and are obviously delighted with the news.
However, every job holder gets a bit stale eventually - and just maybe the current Pep is fading and we are ready for a change. Maybe the next manager will be less of a genius but will still be a great manager combining what he learnt from Pep and, maybe more importantly, what NOT to do.

Yeah agreed but I just dont personally rate him and with all these big changes this summer is he the one to stabilise us.

Whoever we get will likely find it tough, it might be better in the long term if we have a replacement before (hopefully) getting Kompany.

At least he’s walking into a good young squad so hopefully the structure of the club will keep us competitive.
