Pep to leave at the end of the season

Truth be told he’s probably the best available.
Whoever we get it’ll be a downgrade but the way we run the club we’ll give him the very best chance to succeed.

No one can replace Pep, he’s the best manager of all time.

However, I’m extremely underwhelmed by Maresca. I’d hoped for Klopp, Enrique, Emery. Hope he proves me very wrong.

As I said in an earlier post, last season was total shite & a lot of this one has been far below anything we did up to 2024. We should have walked the league but have been so inconsistent and downright poor some of the time.

But none of that changes what we achieved up to and including 2024. So. in the nicest possible way, fuck right off you tedious tosser.
Yep, as I said in my post, we've all had hot-headed moments immediately after tough matches in the last couple of years. Your flippant and frankly spoilt attitude towards Pep has persisted after games we've won, trophies we've lifted, and during international breaks when there's been nothing to discuss. Your negativity has spread from here to Twitter and back in that time.

And calling me a "tedious tosser" after spending the last two years doing the same old anti-Pep act? Okay mate.

I have watched Chelsea under Maresca a fair bit and frankly they never looked well coached to me. Always open at the back, poor discipline amongst players, etc.

Maybe Pep will be pissed that someone has leaked this, change his mind tomorrow and tell everyone at the presser he is taking a few months off and then be back in August for another 5 years.
Or we will reveal we are signing Enrique with Elliot Anderson, Wharton and Pedri tomorrow.

And on the bright side at least we will save a lot of money not having to buy so many Wembley tickets.

I can’t lie I’m kind of excited. I’m not really one for reminiscing etc. I don’t think I’ve ever watched the Rodri goal back for example.

I always like to look ahead and look forward to what is to come.
I must admit I’ve never watched a minute of that behind the scenes documentary made about us a few years back. Just wanted to keep looking forwards. So I generally agree with you.

That’s just ridiculous. Ornstein and Gaughan are highly reliable.
That ridiculous they have leaked information to piss on Peps parade something that MCFC have gone to unbelievable ends to keep a lid on .

Manchester City are 132 years old. There will be life after Pep because Manchester City is bigger than any manager
Pep has written History at City that maybe nobody will ever reach again, I am talking ever ?

But if it's all about the glory that you love about Manchester City, then leave with Pep

This club means the world to so many fans and me, Glory is lovely, but wearing your colours when it was so bad and turning up on wet cold windy nights knowing your money spent on a ticket was keeping the club going, we were a (hand-to-mouth) football club and we loved it just the same

The Premier league will be absolutely delighted, especially the rags, scousers and goons! You just know Ratface, spit and monkey head will be laughing their heads off.

They haven’t leaked anything. They’re professional journalists who have been told he’s going.

They don’t give a fuck, their job is to sell the news and this is the biggest news in football right now.

The **** who leaked it is from a sponsor, most likely.

It’ll give us more time to say bye if anything.

I hate the media as much as anyone, but this is happening and they’re just reporting on what they know.

Great post. Pep put us on the map - with the help & support of our owners and directors. We weren’t the best Pep team the last 2 seasons but this year we did the double. We will get better with the squad we have and maybe - just maybe - we’ve seen the best of Pep (& what a time it’s been) and time to refresh. Pep knows when a change is needed
Disagree he put us on the map .. Mancini and Pellegrino both won the league

But Pep took us to a level very few EVER get to

None of the gutter press tried to shoe horn 115 charge verdict as part of Pep’s decision to leave (allegedly)

I'll be honest, I'm really struggling to accept this from you of all posters after some of the awful and disrespectful things you've said about Pep ever since we won the league in 2024. We've all had our hot-headed and frustrated moments after bad games across the last two seasons, but I think even with a cool head on non-matchdays you've shown very little in the way of affection or sentimentality towards him despite all he's done for us.

"The Spanish Stuart Pearce" (on two separate occasions), "His best years are behind him", crediting the 4-in-a-row to the players rather than Pep, "he's given up", "the Catalan Mark Hughes", "bored to tears watching his insipid football", blaming him personally for lost TV revenue, "I rarely have a clue what the fuck he's talking about", "he's washed", etc. And those are just from his performance threads across the last two seasons.

You've gloated for two years on this forum about apparently being "right" to call for his removal in the aftermath of the 2024 title victory but you've said virtually nothing about the FA Cup win over the weekend and all you had to say on the day we beat Arsenal to win the League Cup was "Bernardo counting the players in the tunnel. Need to count the fuckers on the field, because a few seem to disappear before getting on there."

And then there's this chestnut, which you posted after he spoke up about the suffering of innocent people in Palestine.

I'm gonna be reading (and posting) a lot of sentimental and emotional stuff about Pep over the next few months but I'm gonna take anything sentimental posted by you with a massive pinch of salt, because frankly all you've done on here for two years is smugly strut about declaring Pep to be "the Spanish Stuart Pearce" while staring at your watch waiting for the day he leaves. Now it's come time and you're trying to join in with the teary-eyed send off? Nah. Not on my watch.
Absolutdly agree. I was slated the other week for calling him (amongst others) out for whinging about us AGAIN, don't want it, don't need it, I want to revel in our achievements while I can. If that makes me a "happy clapper" that's fine, I'd rather that than pump out some of the crap that certain others post after a bad result.
