Pep to leave at the end of the season

I remember a couple of months back when the journos 'leaked' that City had lost the FFP case, too.
The fanny-wiping on here was unbearable.

By the way, do City happen to be playing a very important match in the title race tonight?
What convenient timing to 'drop' a story like this, eh?

I honestly thought Pep would stay for next season, seeing the new team he has built flourish, one last push at a champions league, gutted he's going, but on the plus side, it's lovely and sunny here in Prague so I'm off to get fuckin steamin to drown my sorrows, watch the match tonight through my drunken dreary eyes

Txiki, Pep, Stones, Bernardo, KDB...my heart cant take more. Rodri/Dias/Soriano the only "old guy" left from the greatest era of this football club.

I think the stype of play with Maresca is going to be fun.

I dont know if Maresca really is an elite manager, I guess time will tell.
But he took a Chelsea team, which lacked experienced players and was the youngest in the league by some margin, with no quality CBs or strikers, to top4 and a club World Cup win, beating PSG in the final with 3-0.

Pep leaving leaves the future somewhat uncertain, but one thing thats comforting is that if you look at his previous clubs as a manager, none of them became worse when he left. If anything, it looked like the philosophy and principles he had implemented was there to stay even after he left. Us getting a manager who shares Peps philosophy and has learned by the man himself should hopefully mean we will continue playing "the Pep way" rather than fall off.
A nice positive post.
